Just a small doubted here. I'm recently reading about finance and economics online and came across the "401(k) plan" for retirement. Since most reading sources online are usually U.S-based, I'm wondering if the 401(k) in U.S is equivalent to our EPF in Malaysia?

QUOTE(alexkos @ May 15 2019, 09:28 PM) bump. why US 401k can withdraw anytime only 10% penalty, but malaysia must wait age 50 only can withdraw? because given the chance, 1malaysians have all sort of reasons to withdraw. The EPF account owner has self discipline doesn't mean people surrounding him/her also think the same.
