I joined TF years ago, the members were ok, not showing rude temper as some of you said.

However, I did have an unpleasant experience with TF. I purchased 1 year + 6 months package, inclusive of 1 personal training and 1 body massage at True Spa. I finished the personal training but until months later, my sales person did not approach me nor arrange me a spa session until I have made many requests.

I hate true fitness now....I wanna freeze my membership for a month because I'm going back to my hometown, they asked me to show any prove or valid reason that why I wan to freeze my membership, I told them I'm heading back my hometown, they need flight ticket or else they can't freeze it. my hometown is just driving distance from KL, I told them, what u wan me to prove u? My petrol bill?!
Fitness first allows u to freeze anytime, but this true fitness DDLY!!

Ok, being a ex membershp consultant, these are my view.

1. If you can get someone that wants your membership, transfer it immediately, be it family member or friends.

2. There's no use bringing it to court really, as all the terms and condition is clearly stated. From what i understand, TF had never lost in court case. Its the customer's negligence to not read the T&C nicely.

3. Cancelling the card would earn yourself a lawyer letter. Now you can only cancel your card if there is a doctors letter saying that you could not do any sort of exercise already. So if you have doctors contact that can help, it would be nice.

4. You can also cancel if you can prove that u will be migrating overseas/ wrking there and not coming back. Even if you say you want to study overseas, they will only freeze your account.

5. Try freezing your account first. You only pay 30% of the actual fee. At least its better than paying all. But freezing needs documentation as well, like company's letter in going overseas and work.

The manager is a china lady called Jacqueline. She won't give a f*** about it although she's the club manager. Give a call to the centre. Talk to Charles or Miss Lam. They handle such problem. Get an appointment. And complain there. Better results. My 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Who is your consultant by the way? Wouldn't be suprised if its Kelly or Yen.

I faced the same thing too. I signed up for one year contract and only go for fist two months. Right after that I didnt go and havent made any payment after that. They told me they will keep charging me until the contract finish then my acount will be terminated . Since my acc has been terminated today i received a call from them telling me i have 2k something outstanding havent paid. I said i called for termination many times already. It is funny they ca tell you the contract is auto renewed even after terminate. What the hell??? Did she realise ehat was she talking?? So I asked her read the TnC that explains the situation above. She did read but the terms werent explaining it.. Im so pissed off. They said wil put in CTOS .. Go ahead! I wouldnt pay any single cent . Sorry to say , the management is really lousy and their people are lacking brain power. I registered in Kenanga
International Building which is operated by mostly Indians (they look gangster and like somebody could trigger a fight if anything goes wrong).

Reading all the negative comment here...mostly complain about payment...

are there still a lot of active member around? I.e locker fully taken after office hour?

how about other aspect of the gym? The condition of the equipment? environment comfortable? the class good or not? member well behave or not?

My personal feeling .

I was not join any GYM before and I spotted that Groupon got True Fitness for just RM58.
I keen to try to know what is GYM about.

When I walk in ,the are keep talk to me ,at first it was good impression.

After, I fill up personal form and they introduce me about the fitness centre.

Too sadly there are not quarter plan, all is yearly.

I just feel not comfortable to sign up for being locked to contract and all promotion is
only available by credit card.

I rather pay cash monthly or quarterly or just being locked up for year.

Wow the practice of continuously charging customers' credit card even after termination of membership is really unacceptable! This really makes me think twice if wanna sign up at this gym.

Currently I've just started going to true fitness, free access thanks to uob lady's credit card. I like their bikram yoga classes, something which I couldn't get in absolute fitness previously. The steam and sauna rooms are satisfactory...the showers are kinda small tho. As for equipments I can't comment much as I only know how to use the treadmill , lol. But for classes and amenities, OK.

Hi,

I just received their lawyer letter.

Now the amount has added on another a thousand dollars.

I stopped paying since i was out of a job that time and didnt go visit the gym anymore.

My question is if they could charge me to jail?

Thanks in advance!

Lol....the USJ branch got some funny stuff going on. The guys underwear kept getting stolen very often when they are bathing. Suspected a pervert recently joined the club. New and solid ones also take.....this club really....

Also heard the trainers were not paid of their comission for months.

but anyway have already written formal notice to them.
1 more time marketing crank call and i will initiate legal action
this is outright violation of PDPA as i have never ever agreed for my mobile to be used for marketing calls.
