Hmm. So much negativity. I have been a member with to for few years back in the days. I feel to has better gym equipment and more variation too, to fit all the muscles, compared to fitness first. In the end, I close the account without much issues, as I was teavelling a lot at one time. Am now with ff as it is closer to home. The branch I join was at Hartamas, tht place near mont kiara, if I rmbr correctly. Again, they have way cooler machines and gym equipments. Classes are alright, nothing to complain about.

I was totally shocked after I read through this thread...... kinda regret as I read this after I bought the Groupon voucher with this club for RM58 for a month and I made appointment for the 7days free trial... I can imagine how the consultant going to persuade me.
Anyhow, I would have to use up the voucher ==
Im going to the branch at Kenanga International Building. Before this, anyone been there be4? Can give me some feedback?

i actually finish my contract couple days ago. but just want to share my experience with u guys. i sign the contract together wit my sis in law last year. At first we sign a contract and agree to pay by installment since i just started to work that time, couldn't afford to pay in one lump sum. So their procedure is to get some 1 credit card with photostat IC and credit card, together with the 3 digit code. At that moment we sign, upon our agreement is around RM2000 ++ for 1 year contract ( i forgot wats the actual amount , its already 1 year ago).

Then i went back home, plan to borrow credit card from my parents, and i will transfer my money to my parent monthly. My parent rejected to give their photostat of credit card and IC becauz is not safe to give them like tat. So after discussing with my family, i decided to pay by one lump sum.

The next day i went to true fitness again and tell them i decided to pay by one lump sum. I try to negotiate the price with the supervisor see if i could get a little bit of discount since i pay by one lump sum . Surprisingly, they told me, if pay everything in 1 time, the price will be different already. They increase around few hundred for my one year contract. Is very ridiculous to me den i keep questioning them where is the logic come from.. then they just reply me with non sense excuse. unfortunately before that i already pay for RM250 as deposit else i wont join this gym becauz i feel like kena con.

After that i google about true fitness. then i realize if u pay by credit card, they still charge u even if ur contract end. I not sure if this is real, but i just read the comment from the forum, quite number of ppl get this issue.

Just sharing my bad Experience at True Fitness JAYA 33

I'm a true fitness member since 2012 & ongoing...
Brought a friend who is X member 3 years back with the 2 weeks free trial pass & been consulted by the new general manager (Mr Ajith) who came out & rudely asked " If i give you this 2 week free trial, will you join our club?"

The whole problem will not happen if the new general manager just politely mentioned "we have new rules starting from this month that we don't allow any X members to come for free trial". Instead of rudely asking us

"whats your purpose coming for free trial, gym is the same since last time (3 years ago)"
"if i give you 2 weeks free trial will you sign up as for membership?"
"Alot of people just come for 2 weeks trial and walk off"
"Why you want to try, Whats your intention?"

All i would like to say is, if you don't plan to give free trials then don't advertise for free trial & it would be good if you can state T&C clearly instead of just verbally.

Lastly please talk politely & respect your client...

P.S~ the Equipment, Classes & Facilities are fine with me.......

Hahaha,..
You pay membership fee to go inside to be conned..
then the personal trainer will try to persuade you to fork out more money to get your body trained to get the shape you wish..
In fact, you pay money to get yourself suffer for pain ..unless you are very very DETERMINED type of person...
agree?

I don't go for PTs that are tied to gyms. Very restrictive and they're usually a lot more expensive. I found someone at this website www.kaodim.com, I find it very useful cause I get a few quotes and intros from the PTs and I get to compare prices, read their profiles etc before calling them. Instead of walking into a gym and paying the membership fees as part of the package for a PT.

Try negotiating with them. These freelancer PTs are usually open to that cause they're not tied to any gym. The one I hired also started at a higher price and I tried him out for a week, then after that committed to a longer term engagement at a significantly lower price per session. Which gym are you going to by the way? I happen to also be thinking of changing gyms tongue.gif

Mmm OK the TF at jaya 33 is not bad la i think. I used to go to the one in Hartamas. Terrible. And the place is deteriorating like hell but they're not doing anyting about it. You don't have a condo gym? I used to do that with a PT. Cheaper and I find just as good as long as you get the right PT who can motivate you. Or train in the park!

Despite the condition of the gym, i actually kinda in love with Hartamas branch =D the staff are friendly, every morning i got warm greetings from the front desk, and also the security and the cleaner =D #feellikeaqueen but in the end i hired a PT from the jaya33 branch icon_idea.gif
