QUOTE(terranova @ Nov 4 2017, 04:13 PM) Initial thoughts on the X after about one day of use. Do you like it without the home button? IMO, the home button is really the thing that makes the iphone so amazingly intuitive. In a sense that I don't have to know anything about it to learn how to use it. Like how there is no app drawer on an iPhone vs android.Love the OLED screen. Love the extra real estate on the larger screen. Battery life seems better. Larger and heftier (heavier) than what I've been used to (previous iPhones). The loss of the Home button takes some getting used to. The new gestures and swipes takes some getting used to. I particularly dislike how we now close background apps. No longer as thumb friendly as previously, due to the larger screen. Can't reach end to end of the screen with my thumb. And I have relatively large hands. Especially so since the new swipes requires stretching to the bottom left/right and top left/right. Have not played with Face ID and new camera modes. Will share more impressions later. But then iPhone isn't exactly new like it was ten years ago. So some changes isn't too bad. |
