QUOTE(babybobby @ Nov 21 2017, 12:53 AM) Yeah what you said is pretty true. Actually with new hotlink plans and improved 1 day 1gb happy hour nothing much to complain. Sometimes it's a bit annoying if i need to download something more than 4gb i have to claim happy hour twice in a row then continue with midnight pass or free 1gb weekend. So far I do not have any problem with Maxis now.But that was before hotlink introduces the new hotlink MU random offer. If im lucky i can get like 5gb for a few bucks that will last in a short period. Which serves my purpose to download games. With Happy Hour I download all updates whether on my PC or iPhone during that time. Add RM1 get 2GB and download all you want. Yeah I do like the HotlinkMU offer. For me it gives a lot of value by paying cheap price with high quota. The only thing that the offer is quite random. But if lucky can get RM 10 for 10 GB quota per day. |

QUOTE(babybobby @ Nov 21 2017, 12:41 AM) I was looking for the best simcard to buy when i reach there, one site recommends viettel and i think the plan is newly launched recently. pricewise, all 3 major telcos are the same because they are all controlled by the government.https://www.contentedtraveller.com/getting-...m-card-vietnam/ This is my second time traveling to vietnam. I can't remember which telco i used during the first visit and it was early last year. afaik, there is no true unlimited data in vn. some silly kwailo's insist on unlimited data, so the smart vietnamese sell to them "unlimited" throttled data. |

With certain areas near my place maxis 4G full speed one movie about 450mb can finish download in less than 2 minutes. 1day 1gb can get 2 movies from putlocker. It must be unlimited on something like local calls or youtube. Like everyone said nothing is truly unlimited. I hope one time package is enough for my 9 days trip including traveling to vung tau, since i'll be relying on gps a lot.afaik, there is no true unlimited data in vn. some silly kwailo's insist on unlimited data, so the smart vietnamese sell to them "unlimited" throttled data. good news for existing hotlink users. now we can get the same 999gb facebook on our subscription too (i tested out with my usual daily subscription and it does show the 999gb facebook data). no need to MNP to get this promo. Edit : seems only daily pass. The weekly and monthly doesn't seem to list the offer so I'm assuming doesn't apply to those plans? Maybe not yet
one thing that annoys me though is that i'm currently using an android phone and then tether to my iphone (complicated reason for this lol). and facebook for android destroys the battery life, so i use the iOS version of FB. so before this promo was enabled, i could use the FB on iOS normally, but after this promo has been activated, i can't open FB app and also through the browser. even messenger sometimes a hit or miss i understand the reason because they don't want people to abuse this (same reason why unlimited data plans like digi infinite puts limitations on their cheaper unlimited plan and webe limits tethering). i'm just one of the very rare cases, so i will have to just live with it This post has been edited by graphidz: Nov 30 2017, 11:10 AM |

QUOTE(marizgracias @ Dec 1 2017, 10:23 AM) QUOTE(NSR @ Dec 1 2017, 12:26 PM) insider news stated all weekly and monthly passes. well, it maybe just for M10, MI35. MI45 and MI60 only. Like that if rm70 plan don't have but rm60 have, pay more get less. |
