if pay via Ambank card, can collect starbucks card reward?

Called to cancel all my Plat cards and just leave VS active. I also requested to reduce my CL and I'm surprised that the lowest limit is only RM 1k. Well, I reduced until RM 2k. RM 1k like too little.

Went to Starbucks today , staff there inform 15% discount for Ambank cards has comes to the end

Just sharing, 3 months ago I was entered Plaza Premium Lounge in Hong Kong when flight back to Malaysia.

I accidentally use my Master card to entrance but spend RM500 on my Visa card.

Recently I saw there has PPL charge on my cards (main + Supp), so quickly called and asked whether can waived or not.

Knowing the T&C, RM500 need to spend on the card itself, so my explanation to the officer was

- RM500 + RM500 = spend on Visa cards
- Plaza Premium Lounge usage was on MasterCard

Officer then helped to submit for waiver to the bank, and good news he called me just now and mentioned that, as long as you are now spend RM500 each card within a month, once transaction posted, call for waiver... that is cool !!

Remember to check your ccris report after 1 - 2 months you cancel . Last year i called to cancel 1 of my card , but after few months i check my ccris report , the card is still in the report . Call cs again they told me the card is actually ' on hold' but not cancel . After that only they cancel for me

My both cards already remove from online banking..is it confirm cancel as im not receive any call from them yet

An update for this case, after almost a month, I still didn't see any cancellation email from AmBank and CCRIS' last balance update on 31.10, they are still there! I called again yesterday and insisted for an update, upon checking my supp card was only cancelled on 5th Nov, what a coincidence but no further update for my other cancelled cards. Seriously?

Today I will expect another call from yesterday's CS, she already called me thrice yesterday to seek for some clarifications but since it was a PH, she couldn't check internally.

I told her this incident has made me angry and I want to also cancel my remaining card. Actually I really thought of applying for the World MasterCard but due to this reason I wanna to totally cut tie with AmBank.

Yes, they are very efficient in removing from the system so that we can't see anymore but in actual fact, they didn't cancel the card. Just "suspend". You better follow up, mine was cancelled last year or early this year, cannot recall.

My supp. card record was removed from CCRIS after 1 month the card is cancelled.

If you can see the card in CCRIS, most likely the card is in suspend status which they like to do.

Because I remember clearly last time I also double check with them the card status, they said cancel as well but this year they told me the card is in suspend status only but not cancel.

Though I really hate AmBank now but I may be required to travel to HK with my sister in another two weeks time. I wanna enjoy the PPL access in HKIA but I only have one card which allows - HSBC VS, now I have to use my AmBank card to sign my sister in. Can I reload RM 500 into my BP and consider as a spending to waive the PPL fees? At least I can use this money in HK. Does anybody try reloading BP to make it as a spending?

If only Citi didn't retract HK access for its Citi PremierMiles then I don't need to trouble myself now. Oh well.

i received the zing card.. it's a useless card right? since they charge RM2 per relload.. can i just ignore the zing card or i need to call ambank to terminate it?

I applied for Ambank true visa. The bank person (by phone) persuaded me to take their visa signature card and i went for it. After reading comments here I felt this card is useless. The only thing is I can get points for asiamiles.

Btw, my application already approved, so waiting for my ambank cs to arrive.
First time applied cc. Straight tried with multiple banks. Approved by hsbc aeon and ambank. Rejected by ocbc, sc, cimb, rhb and bsn😭. Waiting for maybank

the sales guy know got this campaign? i also not sure how to apply this. maybe just apply online at ambank.
