Btw, what's the best way to know if your ambank VI and enrich linked correctly?

I take it as if i can redeem the golden lounge voucher, i take it as successful?

I am being paranoid since i applied with another email, and this email is my ambank savings account email. When the telemarketer called me i reminded her to change to the correct enrich email. No guarantees she might still have forgotten...

I am referring to Ambank Enrich credit card, how many days after transaction will the Enrich points be credited in MAS app?
*
After statement date. It's not immediate, follow statement cycle.

does Ambank charge the 1% foreign transaction fee on foreign transactions using their credit cards?
*
when you pay in foreign currency, there is always a charged. i have recently test ambank enrich VI, it's 1%.

if you are talking about the dynamic currency conversion that some other banks charges where you pay in RM but the platform is overseas, like youtube, i have also tested, on AIRBNB myself, they dont.

hmm.. so this is very close to Wise charges then ?
*
Check the fees and charges for wise for the currency you are using and compare. 1% is low in the realm of credit cards. But i think wise

For EUR, i am getting ~0.51% from wise. So essentially ambank is still double the fees being applied for wise.

Am thinking to use this Ambank Enrich VI for my upcoming overseas trip. Is it still worth it despite there is additional 1% charge for overseas transaction? It is RM1 = 1 EP for overseas transaction, quite tempting.
*
I did a comparison of wise vs this card for my recent trip all transaction in euro. For transactions of the same day, generally i am still paying 1% more than wise card.

Worth it or not, depends on you.

Hihi, anyone can confirm Ambank Enrich oversea spend vs Wise. Which one is cheaper ya?
*
i tested in last year October, only one currency with is Euro. Wise will win hands down. for all transactions paid via ambank, it will be about 1% higher than wise rate. there are points to take note, of course wise rate will fluctuate live, but for this card that follows visa rates, are quoted the same for the entire day.

ended up i use wise more when spending there.

I wonder it will start on 1 August or follow statement date.? Example 16 July statement, does transaction perform before 1st follow old rate or when statement on 16 aug, follow new rate?
*
My guess is based on transaction perform before 1st.

But need to call in to ask for best answer.

Now the question is also is it based on transaction date or posting date.

If posting date then need to swipe abit earlier... maybe latest swipe by 30th july.

It's strange that you got charged AF now when you activated n August. When was your first activation AF charged (and waived)?

Referring to my 2024 statement, I have AF and waiver on 12 July 2024 (when I signed up for the card).

My first year anniversary is July 2025. AF was charged and waived on 15 July 2025 (my statement date).
*
Btw somewhat off topic but related. Do you know when is the cycle for the calculation of annual fee spending waiver for your card? I dropped a message to ambank and they gave me a stupid answer of please spend 100k a year.

this card is already defined clearly - VI must spend 100k for 100% waive annual fees or 50% - for 50k spent
*
Yes i know that. but i'm talking about the EXACT DATES of how they calculate.

If annual fee is charged 16th July, is it calculated from 16 July 2025 to 15 July 2026? or from any other dates

I needed to know the exact same thing, and have got answers for you. Facts below for your ref.

My first annual fee was charged and waived on 12 July 2024. Card received and activated and SST charged on 17 July 2024.

Second year AF charged and waived on statement date 15 July 2025.

I called CS who checked system and confirmed that my exact yearly spend cycle is 12 Jul to 11 Jul. My next cycle runs from 12 Jul 2025 to 11 Jul 2026.

Knowing the exact dates was really important to me as I made some massive purchases between 12-14 Jul 2025 in order to capture the transactions in my 15 Jul statement and benefit from the 20% Enrich bonus on 15-17 Jul 2025. I swiped over 100k between 12-14 Jul and CS confirmed that I had already met the spending requirement for annual fee next year (which will be charged 15 Jul 2026).
*
Thanks for this. This really helps. Lucky for you to kill many birds in one stone. Before devaluation, with enrich bonus, and still keep this card for another year for the lounge.

Alliance VI actually better for overseas spending now with their revamp and each year Enrich will do 20% bonus offer so will get more miles compared to Ambank.
*
Would be better if we have some more information on alliance VI forex rate to look at. And compare with ambank Enrich VI.

But the enrich bonus is definitely a plus point to take note. Important to note bonus points validity is only 1 year usually. Good to redeem if you know you can use it up.
