I have a trip to Korea on the coming June and I'm going to flight from Penang > HK > Korea. Currently i have both AMbank Visa signature/Islamic credit card which is entitle to access 5x PPL in airport for each card and I just want to seek for advice can i proceed the way below?

AMbank Visa signature > access the PPL in Penang airport.

Ambank islamic Visa signature > access PPL in HK airport.

P/S: Based on the T&C from the bank only can access the PPL once per day. I feel very puzzle on this term.
*
Accessing two on same day will result in charges for one of them.

My colleague already being charged. It comes two months later.

Best to use different cards if you have to avoid after travel hassles.

QUOTE(charlesj @ May 26 2019, 11:12 PM)
It is a gray area.
I believe it should be no problem, esp for those with limit (x5, not unlimited).
You can argue with AMB if they charge you due to this.
*
It’s stated there. Don’t see any valid argument.

Still not clear....he used the SAME card twice in one day, or used 2 different cards from the same bank?.....
*
😂

Pretty sure Ambank can check whether the single customer used it twice or not on the same day regardless of which card. Then tadaaa... the charges appear.

That is why the clamp down of single card from each issuer.

One can lie to the lounge or just present the card for entry as they cannot see whether you’ve used it for the day or not or gained entry elsewhere.

Hope there’s some generous soul willing to try out the grey area for the cost.

Hello, I have both signature Priority banking WMC and VI, may I know what’s the benefit of this 2 cards and which is better to use overseas as I might travel to Europe next month. Also is there any discount on Hilton hotel if using these cards?

Thanks
*
Wmc gives better exchange rate and no bank chargers.

VI will be charged bank charges for overseas transactions.

And having them means unlimited access on selected lounges * (once per day)

Other than that, nothing spectacular. Hilton partnership is no longer valid if not mistaken. Received some notifications about it but didn’t read in details. Maybe you can check out their website.

For WMC, do we get 1X AmBonus Points for local spend?
*
Yes. 1 X points for local spending.

5X for overseas.

Thanks pal, I’ve read few post in this thread, I don’t get the sst thingy.. is it if I use my card oversea then they will charge sst?
*
Sst is chargeable per card issued by bank regardless of transaction. It is a tax imposed by government.

Every credit card from all financial institutions are chargeable.

I have PB WMC and VI. Recently got charged SST for both cards and thinking to cancel one of them.

Is it advisable to cancel or keep it as one card only allows 1 lounge visit per day? Can I bring my family into lounge using my card?
*
U can only use either one for the lounge at one given time.

And that’s once entitlement per day. Unlimited for SPB, other 5 times only.

So yes. You can cancel either if they are not your main cards for usage. I cancelled VI as well due to this. But make sure you redeem the points first, otherwise forfeited.

Hi, may i know if carz points = ambank bonus point?

Thinking of converting this http://www.ambankspot.com/Traveling/AirAsi...)?qCards=cCards
*
Yes. Car points and amb point are referring to the same thing.

hi all, I have a long kept CC (ambank) that got charged SST (for myself + 2 sub cards) on april. They said it's too late to redeem for points (I don't even have points TBH, just applying for the sake of Free For Life previously) , and they do not allow me to cancel the card without payment (3 months due for SST only).

I do remember somewhere mentioned that cards can be terminated and SST waived as long as I do not do any transaction on the cards. Anyone could guide me on this?
*
If only you called the same month before the next month’s statement is generated.

You may refuse to pay and let it leave a mark on cc record 😂

That’s why always cancel a card that you do not use. SST Is government charge, not the bank.

They kept their promise- free for life. But they can’t afford government levies free. Maybe it’s time to vote the new government that doesn’t impose charges 😂

Hi all. I have an unauthorized use of my credit card .... in Germany 😑 for 2 transaction amounting to rm 4800. Immediately after I saw this , I called the credit card call centre , blocked my card , made police report and submitted the credit card dispute form .

Some questions
A. Anybody here experienced this kind of issues ? Usually how long will the process be ? They informed the process will take 2 months 60 days .

B. While the investigation going on, should I pay the overdue interest charges?

Please help to share if any of you have encountered this problem.

Many thanks in advance .
*
Will suggest to make the full payment if possible to avoid rolling interest charges and follow up on the dispute every month.

If no payment was made on dues, there’s late charge and interest plus record of the payment.

I have applied one World card on credit card booth but I received two cards, i.e. Infinite and World.

Will I be charged SST if I don't activate the card? The sales person told me won't be charged for card I didn't activate.

Abit disappointed with the sales guy as I already told him I need one card only but he still signed me up for two.
*
You’ll be charged for both.

But iinm there’s roadshow ongoing where you should be getting rebate of 25 for each plus luggage.

Where did you sign up and got the details of the sign ups?

If i apply for supp card, all expenses by supp holder will get ambonus point under principal card?
*
Yes.

Always the case for all supplementary holders. All points / rewards go to principal.

The difference is that you set for the bill to be sent to supplementary to pay on their own.

How?
I always need to pay separately for my supp card.
During my first month with supp card, I paid lump sum to my principal card but my supp was charged with late payment (no payment).
Called CS and they transferred the fund internally and waived all those penalty.
If not mistaken, we need to pay every single card and no way to pay one full amount for all cards.
*
Haha... I think there’s a little confusion here.

There’s two separate discussion we are having.

First thing first. The statement has the option to be sent to principal which either to include or exclude supplementary. To exclude here means the supplementary will receive their own statements and pay their own card. Here: principal receive one statement. Supplementary A get their own. Supplementary B get their own....
This is what is being discussed here. Principal can see all statements and all spending when principal includes them. All billed under principal cardholder statement.
In simple: one statement contains principal + supplementary A B and C.

Second which is the one you are referring is different. Although the statement goes to principal altogether, each cc payment needs to be transferred to individual for payment.
One statement: principal + supplementary A B and C, payment needs to paid to each card account separately.

😂

Let me know if it makes any sense lol

Hi. Got another question. If my cc got CL of 10k and I wanna spend 15k. I can add my own money of 5k into the cc. When I spent that 15k, will I get 10k ambonus point or 15k?
*

That’s a yes in short. You get whatever points based on your spending.

hi there,

Just called ambank CS and it seems that annual fee is auto waived but SST is "non waivable". May I ask if it is the the same for you guys?

still not sure whether to keep or cancel both VI and WMC. Haven't have much good promo on these cards for quite some time... also lounge usage needs RM500 spending...
*
Yes. Sst is waiveable.

Pay it or redeem with points-7k which is pretty good deal

Anyone knows how to send letter to this address?

Ambank (M) Berhad
Card Centre
P.O. Box 12938
50794 Kuala Lumpur.

I tried a few times and it's rejected. Can I give the letter at Menara AmBank, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng instead?

I just wanna cancel the Smart Partnership Programme SPP1.

Thanks  cry.gif

Call them up that you want to terminate and they will pass to someone to call u back. But this is going to take a while.

Or raise under complaint on the website for their complaint unit to handle. That will be slightly faster. Although they don’t know anything about it also. At least someone is following up for u.
