Alright, I just came back from the booth and applied True Visa.

Free gifts are umbrella and luggage bags.

Luggage bags only for Plat level and above cards and have to apply at least two cards to get it.

True Visa is only entitled for umbrella.

The guy tried to convince me to apply WMC/VI to get the luggage bags but honestly I'm not interested in the cards or the bags.

While talking, I asked him about the wireless headphones he was holding and he said for that I will need to apply one conventional and one Islamic card. Let me be frank, this is the part which I really dislike while I was checking through the specs printed on the box, I noticed it was a fake headphones, and I had no intention to apply Islamic card at all. However, he sneakily squeezed in another form and asked me to sign an Islamic application form while I was signing for True Visa application. I did sign on it but usually I will check the application form again before they submit, so I found out this and immediately I asked to tear the form in front of me. Eventually, he gave me the Islamic application form and let me handle myself.

So, in short just be alert with these agents. At the end, I only applied True Visa and got the umbrella.

I thought Ambank will treat new to bank for any cardholder who cancelled card more than 12 months instead of 6 months..so, u will only get on the spot gift and not any sign up gift?

Sign up gift as in new to bank customer, like approved already spend how much to get sst rebate or extra cashback.. not sure what is Ambank current promo.. but I always notice the requirement for Ambank is 12 months since ur last cancellation..

Yes entitled. He mentioned about this. https://www.ambank.com.my/eng/deals-page/AmBankCreditCard However, I don't think it's applicable for True Visa.

Refer clause 4 on Non Eligibility extracted below:

(b) A former AmBank Cardholder whose Credit Card/-i was cancelled less than twelve (12) months from the start of the Campaign Period;

I see. Luckily I didn't apply those cards and only insisted on True Visa which is not part of the campaign.

My experience with AmB salesman or agents. I don’t like them.

Hi, may i know need to have both AmBank & AmBank Islamic Credit Card or either one also eligible? quite confuse and i cant find the prize pool in the tnc...

Luckily he allowed me to apply from him though he said his commission is low, I told him he should feedback to AmBank and not customers.

When he printed my EPF statement, he saw that I'm eligible for VI and WMC, kept asking me to apply both to get luggage which I politely told him I'm not interested. He did mention about PPL but I was too lazy to tell him I have other banks' cards that give free access.

does new sign up for true card entitle for the campaign cashback +umbrella?

Campaign cash back doesn't include True card as per description in the link I shared. Yes, umbrella will be given.

Are you sure the True card is not included in the campaign. I thought it's included. Section 3(a), line 3

I didn't see T&C yet as this campaign is not so important for me, after all I'm not considered as new to bank customers.

Actually I'm more interested in the sign up bonus for unionpay
I got an sms that sign up and spend can get 25,600 bonus points, that is like 2,000 KF or AM miles

Problem is, can't find the T&C and not sure if "not new to bank" customer entitled or not.
