Hi everyone.

On Friday I will be getting a cheque. Was planning on going to the school (I'm a part time teacher) Friday morning, and deposit it. If this is the case right, how long will the cheque take to clear? It's intra-bank, from RHB (I think) to Maybank.

Is my first time getting a cheque lol

Next Monday night after 7p.m. or 8p.m.

If fast can get on same day in the evening...otherwise would be on Monday...

Thanks for the responses guys. I have a class tomorrow evening and will deposit it around 3 pm on the same day (Should I get it by then).

If this is the case, will the cheque clear by Friday?

House check clears same day when bank in before bank close, if other branch or banks , then it will be following working day

If you deposit Friday afternoon, then should be clear by next week I think.

Nowadays intra bank only need one day ke? I thought is about 3 days baru clear? Since it will float first right?

i think it supposed to be inter-bank (2 diff banks) instead of intra-bank(same bank).

anyway, from my past experiences , usually it'll take 2 works days from inter-bank cheques to clear... so u should be getting it latest by Tuesday before lunch since cheque deposits do have cut-off times...in your case, you're gonna deposit at 3pm...
