There might be a small risk if the unverified buyer uses the funds for non paypal approved uses (i.e. Pharmaceuticals)

Since its unverified, paypal assumes that YOU own the account and using it as a front for your verified ID

If you mean totally unverified with a credit card, then the account cannot accept funds in the first place

You can accept funds, you just have a very low sending limit =/ I was using an unverified msian account previously and was able to receive a few hundred $$ from paypal sellers here smile.gif

If the unverified fella does exactly that, what happens to me(the seller)? will Paypal punish me or something?

Worst case you may get your acc frozen

Wah  shakehead.gif  but as u said, "worst case scenartio" so the risk of paypal taking such drastic action is very small rite?

that'd be akin to me selling guns legally to a guy, guy kills his wife with the gun, and authorities jail me for selling the gun.

Actually it'd be more like you selling a gun to a ghost, ghost kills someone and authorities jail you for shooting people (after all you have no way to prove a ghost did it, do you? tongue.gif)

Chances are small that it'll happen, granted, but the risk is still there and up to you to take it or not
