Basically my mother has purchased a house via auction 14 year ago. She passed away recently and i noticed that the documentation of purchases is not stored. From what i gathered she gave it to a lawyer for the finishing everything and the lawyer lost it. I have visited the lawyer and they didnt have the record. Ok fine, so i go the bank that provided the loan to the previous owner and they also didnt keep it any longer.
I know the document exist because my mum used it to change the local goverment tax information to her name. The only document i have now is a receipt for the balance of payment for the full auction price and duties stamp. So now i stumped, i going to do inheritance process and without all this document i'm stuck.
Now i need a lawyer to somehow solve all this problem.
What i need is a lawyer that can do this in a fast manner, i dont want this property to stuck in limbo. Since i'm expecting that i need to go to court to claim this property because of the lack of proof on my side. They must be experienced in this matter. Anyone can suggest me an expert lawyer. I'm a muslim and all the potential inheritor are in good relationship i dont expect to fight them because we all agree with the division. Just need to do this fast.

2 questions:-
1) did your mother purchased the property by cash?
2) is the property under master title/individual title?

then the attending solicitors definitely served a notice of assignment to the Developer in respect of the assignment. liaise with the developer. since the individual issue document of title has not been issued, the file at the developer's office will not be closed.

you do not need a lawyer to check the status of ownership if you are somewhat "entitled" it to UNLESS you have no privy then that's a different story.
