I found the SB chipset temperature a bit high. Around 44 to 46. And Smart Guardian always giving me warning.

Mind to advise any cooler that suite this motherboard layout?

What about this one? http://www.modernopc.com/store/index.php?m...products_id=235

@atmostthere,

Which means, e6750, e6550 and e6850 are not supported by this motherboard?

When I replaced my processor from E6600 to E6750, it didn't boot at all. I reset the bios and it boots. I guess due to Multipler that it had in E6600 is 9 and E6750 didn't support 9 at all. However, this is just my assumeption.

This url may give you some hint. http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000474.htm

I confirmed E6750 works with DFI P965-S Dark. You probably reset the bios and reset the setting. Try not to do overclock first. Let us know is still ok?

Could be CPU FSB wall. My E6300 will never go past 472FSB no matter which board I tried it on...
You should try Thermalright HR-09U (Type 3) designed for DFI P965-S  flex.gif

I tried to fit with Thermalright HR-09U, it can't fit.

After go into BIOS, I have made changes and save those changes. It get back to the problem ealier (turn on for few seconds and turn off later, no display at all).

I noticed motherboard led is on and vdimm led at around memory slot is off and on and off again.

I found out where the problem is. You have to turn off Spread Spectrum. This will boot the system up without any problem. You have to clear bios in order to successfully get into BIOS setting.

Other than that, if you want to make your motherboard recognized E6750, you have to reflash the bios with 0703 version.

Hopes both action helps you.

Right now, I have another problem. Front Panel USB port didn't able to use USB External harddisk. USB External Hard disk able to detect and recognized in back panel USB port. Why? Not enough power? Any CIFU can help would be appreciated.
