That's normal for the DFI Infinity P965-S Board. smile.gif
That means your bios is corrupted.
...

glad to hear that icon_rolleyes.gif

It ask for the drive A because it asks for a floppy drive that has the bios file.
Put the bios 0424 that you've downloaded from DFI website, then put the bios file into the floppy drive.

Boot your pc, then the system will detect the bios file in the floppy drive automatically then it will flash itself. smile.gif

Once the flashing done, then your system is back like a new board. smile.gif

same answer found on Google, will try that method later (need to find a floppy drive doh.gif )

QUOTE(AceCombat @ Jul 14 2007, 03:17 PM)
yup, bios corrupted like bro shawty said.

anyway, how could it happen with just black out?
when pc running in windows and black out,it supposes bios no problem one,how come the bios will corrupted?

(i thought only flashing bios will corrupt the bios?)

dunno, after black out, wanna turn it on --> BIOS post those message doh.gif

it's not like i'm updating BIOS, just hearing music

QUOTE(gengstapo @ Jul 14 2007, 03:20 PM)

So E-J@1, any good news or updates from your problem? hmm.gif
*
just about when i wanna try ur method (after long & hard search for a floppy drive), decide to give a last try --> turn on the pc, guess what, the pc is back to normal again rclxm9.gif dunno why unsure.gif

although i can enter BIOS but fail to pass the Windows Startup Screen doh.gif suspect the OS already corrupted --> so after restore 3 different Image also cannot boot... sad.gif no choice have to reformat

nobody here faced the same problem like i did? blink.gif

My advise is for you to update the bios or at least, flash it to the original bios you're using right now.

There's a possibility that the bios is still corrupted.
Corrupted bios also may lead to fail to load windows.

Try updating the bios first, then try to load the windows back, if that fails, then you may continue with reformating.

All in all, it's up to you to make your choice, i am just giving advise. smile.gif

damn, i just read on how to update the BIOS, last time i updated the BIOS (ver. I96PD424) without turning the "update all" option, maybe that's the reason why my BIOS ROM corrupted doh.gif silly me, should read it thoroughly laugh.gif

Wait, you're updating your motherboard bios in windows?
For god's sakes bro, don't do that. sweat.gif
Flash your bios in dos mode to be at the safest area.

Yea i know someone will say, "i've flashed bios in windows many times oso nothing happen?" yes, you're lucky.
But seriously, if you love your motherboard, flash bios in dos. Not windows.

Flashing bios in windows is prone to many error, since in windows, there's always data transferred in each second. sweat.gif
