Try reset cmos by jumper, and remove the battery.

and then use only one ram and a graphic card at first and see whether the beep sound goes away.

I think DFI has a new BIOS that support the E6x50 series Core2Duo.

Download : I96PD904

http://www.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/bio..._FLAG=A&SITE=NA

They finally update the CPU micro code to support those new cpu.

what do u think of this

my specs are

e2140
dfi infinity p965-s dark - bios details - http://www.thetechrepository.com/showthread.php?p=566
2 x1gb mushkin value enhanced pc5300 5-5-5-15
radeon x1950gt 512mb ddr3
cooler master extreme power 430w (plan to change to OCZ powerstream already)
windows vista ultimate

my best try as yet

i) i tried oc'ing by increasing the cpu clock slowly (until 2100mhz) and by adjusting the dram speed as 1:1 until it reaches 700mhz (fsb somewhere around 250mhz)
the thing still stable in windows in super pi and ORTHOS but how come in cpu-z it shows my cpu as 1.589 ghz *sumtimes it flickers to 2100mhz but then back to 1.589ghz* and the voltage is 1.247v *when its actually 1.40v*

intel speedstep already off btw (C1E)

with regard to ram

ii)is there any way possible to make it go beyond cpu clock of 400mhz (fsb)?
the timing is 5-5-5-15
to loosen it means to increase the numbers right?
ye la
kalao naikkan fsb of course ram speed is increased as well
and i dont think it can run beyond dram speed of 710mhz

iii) the voltage specified in mushkin site is 1.8v
but at bios at default already 1.9
kalao tak increase means it'll kacao the oc kan?

please help

Disable everything inside CPU feature.
Good thing about DFI BIOS is that when you increases FSB, you can immediately know the CPU speed and DRAM frequency. You might use that as a guide. 1.9V is sufficient to run 450Mhz 5-5-5-15.

ur voltage drop is kind of too much for this DFI board, it should be around 0.05v or so...........like 1.325 show around 1.28 ........may be power supply problem perhaps.........

anyway ur mushkin ram can be push till 2.1v without problem as long as u have some cooling on it........

anyway something to share here, DFI p965 Dark runs perfectly on q6600 G0........still in progress of tweaking...... initial result stock voltage reach 3.15ghz without any problem, all cPU features still on better then i expected

now its already okay
e2140 at 2.80ghz
its the sub timings problems
bryanyeo87 helped me with that
but my mushkin can only oc till 900mhz though

guyss..i'am curently using team Xtreme PC8500CL5 2GB kit (bios 0613). At begining it's easy to running @600 (ddr1200) vdim 2.25v....but now, it's getting freeze while in windowsss... I thought it was lack of voltage...an then i put 2.4v 355Mhz,400Mhz my compyt restarted....and BSOD sometimes it shutdown/restart while booting...

FYI i'am running @ timing lose (5-5-5-15)/auto. But if i'am running at 375Mhz @2.25 it's normal (5-5-5-15)....

thx
