Mobile Outfitters Clear Coat Pavillion now requires that you pay RM3 per piece for warranty claim re-installation. So if you have full body, front and back, you pay RM6.

Previously, they implemented a charge of RM10 for week-end warranty claim. Now, even week days they charge. I think it is a rip off caused when we installed clear coat, there was no such condition. I can understand weekend but week days?

I don't think Mobile Outfitters Sunway charge RM3 for week days warranty re-installation as I was there about a month ago and no such charges.

Import set, I think you have to send the phone back to seller if phone faulty

Looks like it is single SIM. If it's single SIM, it's not worth it to buy import set 256GB because SME Malaysia set although is 64GB, you can put micro SD up to 256 GB.

I have a Note 8 256GB dual SIM set from Hong Kong. The only thing you can't use with an import set in Malaysia is Samsung Pay as it is set according to country/region. If my HK set has any issue, I can only bring it back to Samsung HK for warranty claim but I am willing to take the risk as I will probably change to S9 or N9 next year.

For those who use dual messenger with two different numbers, do you get your contacts messed up or duplicate in the Contacts app? The duplicate contact problem with wrong numbers exist in your Contacts app when you install the dual messenger.

To change a Note 8 screen, it is RM1,080.00. I believe without GST. Price quoted by Samsung Service Center.

very efficient cs
Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

In regards to your enquiry, if your device is a Hong Kong authorized dealer product, you need to use local Hong Kong designated credit cards to register and activate Hong Kong Samsung Pay. Please make sure that your Samsung Pay application is updated to latest version.

Unfortunately, you are unable to change the region or version of Samsung Pay application. Samsung Pay is customized for every region for the best customer experience. Hence, we tailor-made promotions for each region for best customer experience.

Below are the banks and issuers that are currently supporting Hong Kong Samsung Pay:

1. American Express (American Express card issued by American Express)
2. DBS (VISA/MASTER)
3. Dah Sing Bank (VISA/MASTER)
4. Standard Chartered (VISA/MASTER)
5. Citibank (VISA/MASTER/DEBIT CARD)
6. Bank of China (VISA/MASTER)
7. HSBC (VISA/MASTER)
8. Hang Seng Bank(VISA/MASTER)

When you activate Hong Kong Samsung Pay on your phone, you could try to register your MY credit card in your phone. However, some banks' credit card might not have provision to your phone. Under such situation, you could contact your local bank customer service for more information. All transactions will not be charged as oversea spending if you are using MY credit card and make payment in MY dollar.

Furthermore, Hong Kong Samsung Pay is unable to show promotions of MY Samsung Pay. For Samsung Pay promotion in Malaysia, please refer to the link below for details. http://www.samsung.com/my/samsungpay/.

sigh, does Apple have such issue with region locked phone? just want to compare. now have to choose between maybank std chart Hong leong and Citibank which better?

I have a HK set and I managed to get my Malaysian credit cards into Samsung Pay. Here's what I did:

1. I already registered for my Samsung Pay with S8+ and N8 (Malaysian Set) and backed up to my Samsung account.

2. Then I restored my Samsung Pay in my HK Set from my Samsung Account and my Malaysian credit cards appeared.

3. Can restore but cannot add new Malaysian credit cards.

True that the Samsung Pay would only show HK promotions.
