The main point is not only about the registration, but more about the seller insisting that leaving it unregistered is impossible, i.e. registeration 100% must be done before shipping. So I just wonder the reason.

Wow you seems knows a lot. Well your words kinda makes me feel better for my purchase, I was so regret of my decision after realized this issue

this is what i did:-

1.) wait my current contract ended. (iphone)

2.) after current contract ended, switch to digi 78 contract for note 8. Got fren work inside helped me. later on tell why i as fren help.

3.) while digi porting in your line, you'll receive sms from maxis whether you confirm anot. answer confirm.

4.) after awhile maxis will call to ask why & you complain & tell them you dun need to use lots of data (RM128 package) + note 8 price @ rm3000+ only need sign up for digi RM78.

5.) they guarantee will counter offer. (mine RM2600+ before GST, RM2800 after GST + no need sign OnePlan 128. ONly use current OnePlan 98 + RM68 fees for 1st 3 months)

6.) Ask fren to cancel the digi application & recall back the maxis person in charge to get the offer.

~ seems fussy? all done in around 20hours (port in to digi @ 8pm, maxis called the next day 1:30pm)

~ can be done even with normal official digi outlet.

Gotten this cheap Full Adhesive Tempered Glass @ RM60 (free back protector)...

The curved screen makes screen replacement hugely expensive. A S7 Edge screen is 6 times more expensive than a iPhone 6 Plus.

Yup.. gotta agree lots of ppl like the curve screen, if not it won't be selling so well.. and personally it does looks gorgeous.. but imo not nice to hold..

Tbh, note 8 too tall/long for my hand.. hard to reach top and bottom.. most of the phone I have no problem one hand operate, even with the note 3 5.75 inch display..

I just discovered something which could explain a thing about the sensitivity of the TG SP you are using.

Got a cheap case today, for the heck of it cos it looked nice. After putting it on, realised that the sides go all the way to the SP, just touching but not lifting the latter. Using other cases, there is a gap of about 1 mm. Then as I was texting I noticed on certain areas, my taps don't register as cleanly meaning the sensitivity of the SP is degraded.

So, I changed to another case which does not touch the edges/sides of the TG SP and what do you know? I do not experience the problem anymore. Do not know whether it's the case(pun intended) of the casing touching the SP, albeit just slightly but lifting it just enough but not visible to the naked eyes, to cause the issue. Anyway, this is my experience and I am sharing for you guys to take note and perhaps save those expensive SPs by changing the case before discarding the former.

I did ask where he got it. Sucker dun wan tell. He made a group buy. few of us friends using note 8. But see his face, most probably from hong kong. he goes there every month. I'll post the result ASAP. see if you guys interested. No extra charge from me. Cos my fren going to hong kong in 1.5 week time (assume he really got it from hong kong). Maybe can ask him get some for u guys.
I actually asked him to get me another 2 sets. This 1 scratched exchange another piece.

Korean have a variation of models. 64gb with 6gb ram and 256gb with 6gb ram. There is also some with 8gb ram but never heard it coming over here. LG U+ is the carrier in korea, also there is unlocked version and most seller imported from that source. Yes Samsung Pay can't be used here, better get MY set if you want it.

I believe when u change screen or they open ur phone, it is no longer ip68 certified because already tempered

They will go thru recertification again? I dont think so my fren. U need ppl to recertify ur phone is ip68 rated. Just like ex rated equipment, once tampered need recertify.

Yes, what ben3003 said is true. I doubt any of the service centre's here are able to do the IP68 certification in house.

I read the main post some seal n some unseal stickers at posted by buyers.
I wonder register warranty can refer to the box imei sticker instead open seal to check the phone.
Sometimes global market also need to trained well of skill workers.
