No need. For max 3.35%, easiest combo is:

1) Maintain RM1k avg throughout the month
2) Deposit at least RM2k
3) Pay 3 bills (RM1 payment to TNB x 3 times counts)
4) Spend RM1.0k with RHB cards

Actually no scratch that, easiest way is pay 6 x RM1 to TNB account. No need bother with card spending as you will get an additional bonus of 0.75% for 6 bill payments.

Thanks! Great tip. I used the calculator in the RHB link above and see that the rate is capped at 3.35% regardless of how many criteria we fulfil. I assume the RM2,000 deposit can be withdrawn out at any time?

Actually step 4 don't need to do. You can easily get 3.35% by maintaining 1,2 & 3 (6 bills instead of 3 bills). I have done that for past few months when it is 2.85%

Is the RM2,000 deposit only required as a transaction record? meaning we can withdraw or use those funds any time?

PS - CIMB also has a conditional high-yield account (up to 4.50% ) for those who sign up as their Prime customer - https://www.cimb.com.my/en/personal/promoti...d-campaign.html

No point argue with people with no common sense.

"RHB Smart Account/-i" covers BOTH

Could it be that those open smart account b4 1Jan2023 get 2.85% n those after get 3.35% since campaign is for this year.
*
Best thing to do is for those getting 2.85% to call RHB customer service and ask why. Then maybe share it back here with others.

The missing 0.50% interest for RHB Smart Account.

I got it as well. Everything tallies to 3.35% now
*
So in conclusion some people didn't get 3.35% and then after a few complaints RHB credited it to those who got 2.85%

I think UOB One account is the best at the moment for 50K to 100K savings.
Not sure what were the T&Cs previously.

But currently left only 2 steps to hit 6% pa. Easily achievable.

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Sep 7 2023, 05:21 PM)
yup . 6% for up to 100k
Do 2 criteria. easy to hit
*
Maximum effective rate is 4% ya.. 2% on first 50k and 6% on second 50k.. average become 4%
