I saw a lot of ads about PSA up to 5.6% in apps recently, hopefully they won't revise the interest rate.

Just started my first job. Looking for a savings account with high interest. Is Standard Chartered PSA still the best if I just wanna dump money in and earn interest? Not paying any bills as I still live with family and my spending only around 500 per month, so can save a lot.

I have looked around:
1. Standard Chartered PSA - 2.1% (Won't be able to fulfill the other conditions consistently)
2. OCBC 360 -  1.65% (Can fulfill deposit and spend category)
3. RHB Smart Account - 1.85%
4. UOB ONE Account - 1.65%

Seems like PSA still gives you the best interest even if you just wanna dump money in and not fulfill any spending conditions. Any other suggestion?

Yes, standard chartered PSA is my first preference.

Hi, all. i have question to ask:-

Deposit a minimum account balance of RM2,000 monthly to get 1.80% p.a.* and to qualify for other bonus payouts.
Is this deposit of RM 2,000 similar to PSA? Can deposit then withdraw

Pay a minimum of 3 bills monthly via RHB Now Internet or Mobile Banking and get 0.5% p.a.*
What is the minimum amount to pay the bill? If TNB, can i repeat to pay it 3 times?

Lol 3.35% is not a special rate for selected customers, it's for all RHB Smart customers. Don't spread misinformation
*
Oh, my bad for the misinformation. Meanwhile anyone get 3.35% interest in January? Or just few of us get 2.85%?

If without consider investment, the highest one should be stanchart psa, 4.15% but quite troublesome, I personally use RHB smart 3.35%. UOB One Account below 50k 2%, above 50k 4%, if 100k effective interest rate only 3%.

How do u get RHB SMart acct with 3.35%?I thought 2.85%p.a. only? i am using OCBC 360 account, easily get 3.25%p.a. every month.. simplest criteria as compared to the rest.

QUOTE(contestchris @ Jan 28 2024, 06:07 PM)
RHB Smart is at 3.35% p.a.

Maintain RM1k monthly average balance = 0.05%
Deposit RM2k = 1.80%
Spend RM1k on credit card = 0.75%
Pay 3 bills = 0.75%
Total = 3.35%

If you don't have credit card, then just pay 9 bills. Get the same 3.35%. I believe easier than OCBC.

You would need to go branch physically and inform them that your employer has bank account in RHB and would like your bank account to be under Joy@Work.
*
If my employer is using Maybank account, and they credit my salary into my RHB smart account (not smart account-i), am I eligble for bonus rate 1%?

2nd question, if i become unemployed, can I still keep my joy@work account active?
