Errr... But they are Snapdragon 425 with 28nm, while Kirin 650 is 16nmFF+...
And both are still 2GB, which is no enough for any smartphone that running with Android 7.x+(with Google+ANT+Android+Fingerprint used out 1GB), and yes, they can run, but not without killing apps.

The competitor should be Snapdragon 625 which is 14nmLPP, which bring out xiaomi note 4 3GB(the price for 4GB is too over budget I think...) at RM 659.00.

As snapdragon 625 is 8 small core compare with kirin 650 with 4+4 core, the multitask performance is better on 625, and with MIUI 9, they enable 8 core all the time, with just like 32-36°C with long period of use.

So I will recommend redmi note 4 3GB, unless @syazwanreno like to take picture, which is the weakness of XiaoMi that can only overcome by unlock the BL, enable camera2 advanced api, and use google camera with the algorithm written by Google.

And ya, RM 659 indeed sound like over budget too, if not ignoring the discount for Huawei 5C, but they don't sell Huawei 5C with 3GB ram at MY, so no choice, lol

Err, they are both the same, and with MIUI9, the snapdragon 625 is turn on 8 core without turning off(ALWAYS), it also lock the lowest frequency according to the apps that running, and also no frequency drop because no overheat, based on my testing on Mi Max 2 and also RedMi Note 4.

I am not sure for global MIUI 9, but for China, they provide Game boost that can disable network switch between WiFi and mobile network, and high network priority over other apps.


For Kirin 650, I don't has phone that using it for testing, but based on it is 4+4 big.LITTLE, the big core will surely always turn off for saving power for normal use, for the EMUI, so far nothing special optimized for gaming, based on my friend that using Mate 9.(should be, I forgot which phone it is. )

Moreover, a lot of smartphone are using Snapdragon, so any game developer will optimize based on Snapdragon, compare to Kirin that only used by Huawei...

EDIT:I just reread it again, it seem like kirin 650 is a bit weaker, but just like the reviewer said, it is really nothing, but if take the big.LITTLE into comparison, then it is not ok, because the big.LITTLE is to has big core for high performance, while still having small core for normal use with power save.


So, for both phone, they will run 28-30 FPS stable for 王者荣耀, and performance is nearly the same, it is just the RAM and brand and the price that you like.
(err, it don't has English name, and I guess you should know this game, as a lot of people are playing it around me )
