If 6S was about Rose Gold and 7 was about Jet Black, what’s your take on 8 (and X)?

Gold..

I must say the Gold on glass looks nicer than on the aluminum on the previous gen. That said I'm still gunning for Silver

Gold for sure.
But I also like Space Gray...

+1 for Space Grey because I own one, but +1 for gold as well due to rose gold-ish with white front.

Gold is nice.

No wonder anywhere space grey also out of stock

Went for Gold in the end, keep the Silver for the X

Ya, I think retailers have more stocks compared to telcos.

For the 7, Black was prone to scuffs and mini chip-offs, Jet Black was prone to scratches

1 thing I don’t like white front is anyhow some dirt will get into those edge.

Ya, for most people that went with the Space Grey the black front was the deciding factor.

I wanted Silver but Gold is growing on me

I couldn't get a Silver 8 Plus from maxis so I went with Gold, but now am happy with my decision coz I'm beginning to like it more and more.

For the X I'm gunning for Silver

Haha I went for space gray directly without thinking.. All my devices now space grey only

Space Grey also similar to Black ma.. so more close to original... Nvr liked the white front of iPhone..

I'm the opposite though. Still prefer to have the white front coz back in the day, I always associated Apple products with the color white, heh heh...

Finally got a look at the iPhone 8+. Gold color for the 8+. As for the X, I probably stick with space grey.

Not yet. Waiting for the X to be launched here. Probably get from Apple store online.

You’re currently using a 7 Plus right? Have read about a couple of people who were using the Plus model, tried the X and decided it wasn’t for them, and preferred to stay with the Plus model. Hmmm.. have to try for ourselves, I guess.

Yes, currently using the i7+. I think the X should be fine. I’m more worried about it’s fragility - front and back. Same goes for the i8+ with its glass back. Hopefully, a good case will solve the issue.

Yes, both 8 Plus and X are pretty fragile. Seeing the drop tests in Youtube sends chills down my spine

The thing with the glass back that it's so gorgeous, you want to get a minimalist transparent case, but then you would be sacrificing protection for aesthetics. Hmmm....

Agree on the glass back. Very nice esp the gold color. As for the casing, I usually get one flip and one transparent. Can change about.

Yup, I think cases were available since early this month. I noticed at a Pasar Malam, ha ha ha

For me personally, I don't like flips. I usually get a transparent one and a super bulky, maximum protection back case like Otterbox or something.
