I know some of your heard about affiliate and some of you also have done it. If you do then you should familliar with this kind of url:
http://merchantsite.com/cgi-bin/affil?=123&pid=456
Its the affiliate url and does it look ugly!
Actually you dont need to use the above url to get your commission (do you think anyone would click that?), you can change it to something like:
http://yoursite.com/youroffer.htm
ok now that nic .. should shoot up your ctr
In this thread i will explain how you can change your ugly affiliate url!
Step1:
Get below code and paste it to your page to create a basic page. Change the --URL-- and --TITLE-- to whatever your want.

Use either of these two pages to translate the URL you want to cloak from "normal" characters to HTML Unicode
