wow.. awesome thread
I was actually looking for LGA 1155 motherboards for sale when I stumbled upon this

My board is MSI P67A GD55 (B3)
At first I kept getting a few BSOD and lock ups - machine check exception and 1 more I can't remember. Most of the time it happened when a video was running or watching youtube, which made me think it is the GPU.

After trying to fix it at software level (even in safe mode it freezed!) and failed I moved to the hardware level, running memtest, removing the ram and test 1 stick at a time and all that.. at this point I haven't tried changing the GPU.
So I reformatted the OS, from Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro, installed the latest updates.
It seemed to work at first, managed to run youtube for hours with no crash/BSOD
Then it happened again.
So I switched the GPU, from a GTS450 to a GTX 1050.
Again, system suddenly freezed (with that loud sound) when playing my private videos (MTS files). It happened again and again during my tests. Sometimes the system even freeze when idle... some with BSOD, some with no BSOD just hard freeze have to force turn off the pc.

Next step I removed the CMOS battery to reset to defaults.
Big mistake, the system even freeze in the UEFI/BIOS page! Even with all disks unplugged.
I even tried with another CMOS battery.
Sometimes cannot even enter BIOS.
Means now the system totally cannot boot, and the BIOS keeps freezing before I can even configure properly... which made me conclude that the problem is indeed the motherboard.

From your experience if the system freeze in BIOS screen, what could the problem be?

Do I have to send the whole system to you or just the motherboard?

What's the price range like to fix motherboard?

Thanks

MSI P67A GD55 - I repair this motherboard before.

from the symptom that you mention above, normally the IO chip problem, and the PWM ic.

you only need to send the motherboard.

I got a Corsair SP2500 speaker. One day, the speaker volume became very soft even though I turned up the volume to max. I asked another speaker repair person to analyse and to repair. He said couldn't find spare part for the burned chip. I thought my beloved speaker gonna gone forever.

Fortunately I came across Armand in forum. And he said can be rescued. Just need to order the chip and replaced the faulty one. He even recommended to modify the speaker original psu to a better and more powerful psu. Reason is the original psu is crappy and causing the chip to burn.

I just received the repaired SP2500. The sound and bass is even better and refined. For me, my Corsair SP2500 is probably the best 2.1 pc speaker I have now.
All thanks to Armand666 rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

I found this thread by accident and never regret for contacting armand for his superb services. I sent my old yet still powerful gaming laptop that I already kept in my storeroom due to broken hinge and overheated issue.

Contacted him, sent to his house and picked it up again in 1 week time. The broken hinge is fixed and all internal parts cleaned and reapplied new paste. Now my laptop's life extended and would follow me around during my oversea trip. All these for a very reasonable fees.

He even helped me out today for free after I screwed up in my data migration from HDD to SDD after a newly repaired cant even boot into bios. My bad and felt bad for disturbing his weekend.

Anyway, his services are genuine and professional with complete set of tools at his disposal. Nice service provider and reasonable price. AAA seller. Would seek for services again and again shall the needs arise.

Thanks again, armand.
