 Unable to load China Websites, Unifi problem

I'm using Tm unifi 50mbps. This happens frequently with Unifi and lately since 14th Oct 2017, I have been unable to load certain China Websites.
Does anyone have this issue ? I have been checking with Unifi and it seems this is a nationwide problem and they are still trying to solve it. Since this happens too often, Im thinking of switching to Maxis Broadband. Any comment ? Or has anyone had problem with Maxis loading China websites ? Please let me know. Thanks all.

Which website you are unable to load? Just list it here let ohter isp user to test it too.

I believe so...china gov are restricted on some info to pass over the internet....some are close, like 3dm, in maintenance for the pass few days already.

Testing from my phone connected through webe lte, Surprisingly it loads instantly!
Meanwhile, my home wifi Streamyx 8mb with 175.xx ip can’t load both of the website at all.

I though webe and tm are sharing the same route? Both are owned by tm, isn’t it? Or in terms of traffic route, they’re different? unsure.gif

i think GFOW blocked inbound and monitored outbound traffic to prevent external net influence in their country, only approved vpn in there has free flow of data

this kind of problem happen every month...they keep on saying upgrading system bla bla bla...or say is other country problem non of them business...if u try a vpn then u can log in all of the site....that magic!!

problem looks like just the server(s) of the site u want to get to.

the rest are fine, incl my usual china entertainment sites.

but this "unifi-china dead" crap does happen often, like 1-3 times year.

do a search, u will find a dozen threads on this over the last 3-4 years.

Ya. Agree. It happens too often. The last time was in early July. My house was without Wifi for 3 days ! In the end I requested them to compensate and they did. Can't remember how much they refunded.

This happen all the time, you use vpn then it works no issue. Either they block malaysia ip or tm block us from accessing. So frustrating.

sure is tm problem...if they block malaysia how come maxis dint get any kind of problem without using vpn?

TM call and request to install the pinging based on the website (I forget what apps need to install already).

Kinda troublesome need to install that apps and send result to teams. I just wondering why TM teams won't install themselves and check the pinging? I believe they can able to do themselves.

If still unable to check, I m ok they comes to cust premises use their own laptop to test the ping. Why need so troublesome request cust do this do that? Imagine is an old ppl cust who experience like slow loading china website, I think kena f*** with TM ask them comes to cust place do ping or do any speedtest due to dont have basic IT troubleshoot themselves.

I think must hv old ppl comes and bang the table with TM, then they able to understand. Only our young generation are too generous and dedicate to solve problem.

You are right ! TM is really hopeless !!
I have done the PingPlotter thingy too. No help. TM said should be ok by last night but today still cannot load many websites !! Really bad !! Wonder what are they doing everyday ?! No improvement at all ! Really frustrating.

I already lazy to follow up of this.
Many website cannot load? What website include?
I though only China website, kinda feel a bit racist why my one only China website cannot load, the rest no problem.. shakehead.gif

No choice I still rely of this fixed line broadband, the only one service provider provide with no data quota.
For wireless broadband, sorry all got data quota limit. Except Webe (also same by this company) and digi (bt their mth extremely costly).

Only a super duper escalation can solve this issue. How I managed to get the issues solved

1. Send in FAX and spam their fax machines of all TM Points nationwide including TM HQ
2. Spam calls TM CEO
3. SPAM TM CEO Facebook account including all the top managements including their friends and families
4. Threatened them to stop playing games such as blocking or throttling
5. Escalate issues to media. Ask a lot people to act as reporter to call TM to ask are playing tactics
6. Go up to Najib questioning him why MCMC which is under him unable to ensure service quality of TM.
7. If they are not replying send an email or send message via live chat say that if you still do not want to reply means you are agreeing that you have to pay compensation if the issue is not solved.
8. Ask debt collector to collect from them. Follow steps 1 -3

This works for me and I able to get what I want

I read something about China congress meeting which is like very big and important event for them and because of that many things is blocked. Even whatsapp is blocked. Maybe they also restrict connection from outside of China.

So I called Unifi again. Finally everything was back to normal yesterday 25/10/2017. I requested for a rebate but they said unable to load websites is not their problems so unable to apply for a rebate. However, there was no wifi for 2 days at my house. This, they are giving me back RM21.20. This will only be reflected in my bill within the next 2 months. TM is very clever, they know Im going to terminate their service thats why they won't even refund straight away. Anyway, just fyi. Hope everyone is able to load China websites now.
