ZipD, you play this demo on Vista right?

I play DX9 version on Windows XP using 158.22 ForceWare driver.

I can't play the demo games, aside from performance test. The game will randomly freeze in any part of demo game. sometimes it will run without a hitch, somtimes it will freeze and force me to Alt-Tab back to desktop.

Maybe the drivers on Windows XP has an issue, do you encounter this on Vista DX10 demo?

Still experience random freeze after updating to DirectX 9 April 2007 update. Seems the driver for Windows XP has the problem~ T__T

edit: Yay~! seems this driver fixed the freeze issue:Forceware Windows XP 160.02 WHQL on Guru3D.com

Its for Quadro, but support all cards from FX series. and now I can enjoy the demo~ rclxm9.gif

Even I got low fps in the cave performance test (23fps in cave test), but in the game, I can play this cave level with higher fps, (32fps). Weird.....

Here is the pic on the Lost Planet demo on my PC (all at default settings, 1024x768):

I wonder how the game will look like if you change your proc to dual-core. I thought the proc is limiting your gc's true ablities??
==============
When will the real game out arr?? Interested with this after seeing the screenshots..

Yeah, I think so. but maybe in june I will switch my processor to E6420~ rclxms.gif

The game will release on 26 June: Lost Planet release date

Don't know its true or not.

QUOTE(ZipD @ May 20 2007, 03:14 AM)
The game has multi-threading. There's an option called 'Concurrent Operations' where you can set the number of processors/cores.

I'm using P4 640 that support HT, does that mean I can enable it even I on single core processor?

btw, this is the pic taken using X1950pro (credit to zer0Nehza) in DX9 demo with high setting blur, 16x AF, 4x AA model high, others default:

I try to replicate the test using the same settings:

What do you think about the Image Quality? I personally say that 8800GTS snow looks very soft, and much better IQ than X1950pro. not to mention the performance~ smile.gif
