QUOTE(helio58 @ Mar 3 2018, 05:29 PM) Please could you explain how? Thanks i would imagine that u need the xiaomi router then add a portable hard disk drive to it. then create a folder (it needs to be specific name) on the drive. something like "tdddownload"... i cant remember. the dafang unit will find the folder and then download to it at a specific time. it is not done immediately. if you want immediate, u have to manually go into dafang and then press the download button. the folder name is also found xiaomi mi home app when u r accessing dafang under settings.. ps i dont have the router but i have dafang unit. its the only info i can provide to u.

QUOTE(pyp1988 @ Mar 6 2018, 11:07 AM) Hi, How can i configure or add the cctv into 2 or more different devices? Or max how many devices can monitor the same cctv? I have tried for the first one, then follow by same step to the second one. But once the second one done configured, the first one just gone/cctv not found already. SIFUs can advice here? Thank you u can only share it. go into mi home > long press the camera icon > select "share" at the bottom of page > then share with Mi Account > key in the necessary details.

QUOTE(t3n @ Mar 22 2018, 08:29 AM) under playback... all your video are recorded there... by they way, can we install external hardisk on the usb port side?? Install a 1TB hardisk and let it record 24 hours u can certainly try. but as i know, its max is 32gb for the sd card. for usb drives, i max tried 16gb only. https://www.passiongadgets.com/xiaomi-dafan...080p-hd-camera/

QUOTE(ryder_78 @ Apr 17 2018, 08:54 AM) Hi guys, I think I have asked before on this thread several months ago on uploading the video to Cloud and the answer is it doesn't work at that time due to some issues. May I ask if this problem has been resolved? The thing is this. I may be getting this Xiaomi Dafang only if it serves my purpose. I understand it records videos and stores the video file in the SD card. However, I need the unit to store the video in Cloud so that the user can access the videos at any time. For my usage, I am planning to use the Dafang as a surveillance video camera to capture intruder break-in to my apartment. I am taking into consideration that the Xiaomi Dafang unit will be smashed into bits and pieces by the intruder who has successfully broken into the unit. I am assuming a successful break-in by a robber. Hence, if the video camera together with the SD card have been damaged, the user wouldn't be able to view the video that has been recorded onto the SD card isn't it? So in this context, the recording onto Cloud would be applicable as even though the unit has been broken into pieces, the user would still be able to access the video file which is uploaded onto Cloud. Any advice if the unit would be able to record video and store it on Cloud? If yes, the next question is whether the unit will only record video upon detection motion? What is the maximum duration that the unit will be able store a full video recording before it rewrites the video? 12 hours? 24 hours? Or 2 to 3 days? Any information would be appreciated. it will not serve your purpose because it is not uploaded in real time. it uploads twice a day at specific time (i think its morning 8am and evening 5pm?). motion detection : yes (but mine also sensitive to light changes ie on off light also detect as motion) video recording with motion detection : yes (about 10 to 15sec) will be alerted to your mobile phone with mihome app.

QUOTE(ryder_78 @ Apr 17 2018, 09:18 AM) Sorry, just to confirm. With the recording upon motion detection, when the Xiaomi Dafang alerts the user by sending a notification to his/her mobile phone, will the video be recorded onto the mobile phone? Or the video will be recorded onto the SD card? the video will be recorded onto the SD card. u will need to download from the card to view the video. thus, it is best to hide the camera or place it somewhere high enough not to able ppl to reach it... and long enough for you to view it. another alternative is to push the video to a storage unit (ie the xiaomi router unit and if you read a few posts back, they put up the steps to make non xiaomi routers store the videos from dafang as well) i didnt read in details because at the moment, i haven got time to tinker with it. for this price and capability (motion detect and rotating unit) i have accepted its flaws (no real time recording etc). i have a separate fixed cctv which has realtime recording so i only have this unit as a supplementary only (so i can view different angles).

QUOTE(enciksohai @ May 20 2018, 11:06 PM) Is 1gb monthly enough bandwidth? if u are asking if the dafang/xiaofang usage, it will generally depends how frequently you are viewing or downloading the videos. viewing a few seconds a day will probably be enough. but if you are operating it continuously, then sure not enough. i see the transfer rate like 50-100kbps usually. there is usually a few seconds lagging effect as i know. if you are downloading recorded videos from the unit over the net... guarantee not enough.
