Hi all, I’m first time buyer. Before starting to buy my first house, I try to figure out how much cash I have to to be prepared. Please help me to check that whether The calculation is correct. So assume the sub sale house is rm500k, and I only can get 90% loan, which is rm450k...
so, I need to prepare:

Rm 50k + rm3000 ( stamp duty for 1st house buyer) +rm3950 ( snp)+ rm y= Rm56,950. + rm y

1) stamp duty for 1st time buyer is only applied on 500k house or under 500k?
2) It is correct for my snp fee calculation?
3) what else I need to add in fro the rm y?

Thank you, notworthy.gif

I just bought mine RM400K, deposit 40k + all legal fees after deduction 13.2K (First house) + 1.2k valuation + 100~300 for application and misc.

Don't trust the legal web on the internet, they haven't include their "labour" & "professional" fees.

500K maximum and you're eligible for that. I'm not sure if they allow to waive off the stamp duty for your first 500K part, if you're purchasing above 500K.

Look for few lawyers, I nego-ed from 16~18k to 13k.

Should be 50k + 15~20k (legal) + 1.5k valuation + misc, I think around 70~80k can settle. Source for more lawyers in the meantime.

Apart of that, don't forget the cost to renovate & home appliances stuff..

You'll need to prepare atleast 15% of the purchase price when you buy a subsale.

So if you're planning to buy 500k property then you will need to prepare atleast 75k

10% for downpayment and 5% for legal fees. (SPA and Loan Agreement)
