I've been researching the whole day to find the most cost effective IP cam that fits :-

The white USB power adapter supply (above product list) that carries 5V/1.6A indicates that the network port alone should adequately be POE (Power Over Ethernet) for the unit.

Update:

I received this cam on monday and after two days playing here are my findings

Pros
1. Works very well with my Synology Surveillance Station (SSS) eventhough this cam not even in the compatibility list
2. Works very well also with all SSS functionility (motion detection edit, recording, patrol, scheduling, file size, and all advance features of the SSS)
3. Recording full HD H264 into the NAS
4. PTZ works fine with V9 App on my phone,
5. Intercom works fine with V9 App
6. motion detection works
7 .Infra Red Night vision works like charm
8 . WIFI connection also good no lag, tried with ethernet cable also work with SSS.
9. Wifi setup a breeze, Loosafe provides instruction in English, the Cam even has voice guidance when setup like "Camera attempting to connect to Wifi please standby" Setup completed you can use your cam..." something like that, which im quite impressed.
10. Tried using celcom data and line outside the house also works


Cons
1. POE doesn't work, i need to connect with 5V usb power supply
2. H265 streams cannot be detected by SSS, thus only recording 1080p H264 causing the recording size at 10GB per day. I dont think its the camera problem some synology listed camera also have this problem https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?t=128914
3. DS Cam app by Synology for phone doesnt display video stream but it does push notification if motion detected or any other detection. but you can still use V9 app provided.

All in all weighing the pro and cons this cam can be considered as cost effective Home Surveillance system with high end features comparable with those expensive one.

I'll continue monitor whether it has solution to iron out the cons.

I bought fr lazada. (link in 1st post) Maybe can get cheaper other.

Just becareful on the resolution when you browse some cheaper one only 720p not full HD.

Oops, sorry my reply actually for professional business use CCTV, most of those Soho types might not have Onvif. Mijia if not mistaken certain models can be modified with Onvif firmware but you might bricked the camera doing it.

Since i got the notice on top there i wanted to update that the camera i fixed on 2017 already not working after 1 year.

Now i installed 3 new one from foscam brand which kinda expensive almost RM300 each. But this is more feature and reliable. Model C2

1. Movement detection, infra red night vision and 2 ways audio.
Ability to detect the area you wanted not the entire area like the cheap one. i.e You only want the cam to detect if postman come near your mailbox or your gate or your door bell, not anyone who just passingby inside the viewing angle of the cam.

2. If you have NAS, like Synology you can use these cameras to record 24/7 like expensive CCTV, you can access live or any recordings, delete them or ask to overwrite them. Synology even has a more sophisticated apps on desktop and mobile for advance control your camera, and it works well with foscam cam.

3. Foscam camera also works with Kodi Surveillance Addon. if you're watching movie and show on Kodi, and if the cam detect something, a peek a boo windows with show who is on the door. You can click to view full screen on your TV. and that really futuristic. The addon only works with foscam. You can also turn this feature off.

Just to note that the C2 is a indoor cam. if you want it to detect who is on the gate or mailbox make sure you installed it under the awning.

Wow, didn't realised Foscam still around. Seems the new gen design is much better now but at this price point for a 2Mp might as well go for HIK/Dahua.
