No, both issues you have described are not normal.

As for the vibration that happens when you press the camera shutter button, can you try disabling your shutter sound off and try again? The Pixel 2 XL dual front stereo speakers occasionally "rumbles" at high volumes which can probably attribute why your phone "vibrates" when the shutter plays the "bloop" sound.

If that doesn't work, try factory resetting your phone.

If that still doesn't work, i'd suggest you to send it in for a RMA.

Last update was about 500mb for 8.1 ... it depend but get 128gb for future proof if you plan to used the phone for long time else just get 64gb

Currently using Caseology Parallax. I peeled off top side since it was too tight and pushed out when installing case on phone or taking case off. Now i usually first push in bottom part then only push in the top portion of the phone. Rest parts all ok, the case doesn't push the front coat if aligned well. Mine top right of the coat cacat a bit since and front have minor waves as i didn't even wait for it to dry out before put into case. Once coated after 2hrs i straight push it into casing as i dont wanna risk using naked phone. For other casing im not sure but should bbe the same. The front panel coat seems to be protector friendly.

I'm using Spigen thin fit and liquid crystal, no problem with clear coat.
