not to forget sirim as well and time it took for sirim to approve and custom to release your item rclxms.gif

Sirim usually will only take most 2 days if done online. Walkin application within hours. There is also 6% GST to be paid based on phone declared value and courier charges

Are they local or foreign shop?
Since now pixel 2 has 2 year warranty
Can we just send back to lazada to claim warranty or ship directly to t&l shop?
*
That 2 are local retail shops in Spore
Well established with good reputation

How about the customs stuff? Did you apply for sirim and other requirements? I wanted my friend to send me from states but i heard I need to pay money to customs and sirim to get it in. So any tips?
*
If held up by custom pay rm106 for sirim n 6% gst on phone value cum courier. All these easily done online and just take a day to two. Sirim you paid to Sirim and GST to courier company. Don't ever allow courier to clear these for you as they will charge you another rm200-300 as service fees!! You can asked your friend to undeclare phone value to reasonable n not ridiculous price to reduce gst. Custom aren't that dumb to know grossly undeclared value. Or you can risk declared as digital camera but if caught prepare for false declaration.

No. Quoted price is to your door. They will cover all those charges if any

How about for iphone user to migrate to pixel? Can cloud backup whatsapp and restore?
*
Iphone backup to iCloud while Android to Google. You cannot restore through them
You can use either wazzupmigrator or backuptrans software. Both are paid software and works well

Hey guys, I just asked a friend in the US to buy two Pixel 2 XLs for me (one for me and one for my partner). Will he have to pay any taxes or fees when he arrives in Malaysia?

If so, how much will it cost?

Thanks in advance for your help.
*
Ask him to unseal the boxes . If questioned said is for personal use. In worst case scenario it will be held by custom. Then you would need to apply sirim permit rm106 and pay gst 6% on phone value. You can do all these online. I doubt you can do all these physically at airport. So you could claim the phone back only the next day

Suggest you doing some research before purchase any type-c cable / powerbank. As there are many not qualify cable/powerbank in market (even is famous brand), which will hurt your phone battery lifespan.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vnp...9f_TX8/pubhtml#

This is old list (reference) that already tested through Nathan/benson leung ( Google engineering). It would be more and more qualify product which is not in the list, because the list is not updated.
*
This is very old news . It was only a problem with first Nexus phone with type C USB
By now all cable manufacturers would have corrected it already ??

Hi

Anyone got their set from T&L Telecom?
Are they trustworthy?
For warranty claim - do they have any office in KL?
*
Yes , very trustworthy and reliable seller. I had dealt with them few times past 3 years. Phones are usually HK or Taiwan sets
I had no experience on warranty claims but can say 10/10 buyers ( read on lowyat ) who claim warranty are very happy with them. They have a office in plaza amoda opposite times Square. They don't do servicing or repair there and office serves as collection point. All phones return to their HK office for processing.
