QUOTE(neuro4869 @ Apr 2 2018, 10:53 AM) Maybe giving less and asking for more money is more accurate. Too much consistent failures to be acceptable for me, but maybe that's the limit of single lens technology. Dual lens are not perfect either, but rarely produce something like pixel 2 for th background compared to most flagship that use dual lens. QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Apr 2 2018, 12:46 PM) Why no reviews ever mentioned this? Nowadays reviews and so-called long term reviews cannot be trusted at all. I would say try think of the other way round.. Why not praise the pixel is able to:1. Take a better picture with higher dynamic range 2. Take a better front facing camera portrait photo 3. Take a more stable video 4. Have buttery smooth UI 5. Etc From the comments, I think is more likely a nitpicking on the pixel 2. TBH, there is no perfect phone in the market. As for the so called long term review, I would think that they are focusing more on overall user experience instead in depth review on the camera itself. Personally think that one would not choose to blur the background, especially when it's with full of flowers (complicated background) and with full body shot. |

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Apr 3 2018, 01:06 AM) Err... actually all the raving reviews also been saying about the grear camera, smooth UI and great updates. With these, they say can overlook the inferior hardware and it's still worth the flagship price. But now the update is riddled with bugs. So what if one is the first to get it? Couldn't agree more on the audio in the video recording.. It's something I'd think is below par as well, which is still able to improve via software update.Yes the video is great but the audio in the video is not the same level as HTC and LG. There's a limitation to how good software can optimise. To me it feels like what Apple been doing, great software optimization on slightly interior hardware but charge exorbitant price. But in this case it's significantly below par hardware on Pixel 2 to charge that kind of price. Surely there's no perfect phone. Promo already finished bro, 5PM yesterday. In the end I went with U11+. Let's see if it's any good. As a consumer, u have the right to choose the product u want. I'd say the pixel price is reasonable, the software beef up the hardware limitation to justify the flagship price. The hardware on pixel is below part if u were to compare it with iPhone but the price of it isn't just about the hardware. TBH, One Plus 5T is a great phone which worth every penny if u spend on it. The problem is, would u compromise the camera permance to get it? If the price of the pixel were to brought to HTC and LG flagship price range, wouldn't they will be complaining as well? There would be never ending for it. Perhaps u could share the phone which doesn't come with bug upon software update? With all that aside, anyone updated to the April patch? |
