Here's my take on comparing the Pixel 2 XL & Pixel 2 now that i have both in hand.

- Pixel 2 is more ergonomically friendly being held/used in one hand and placing into your pockets compared to the Pixel 2 XL which requires you to do finger acrobatics

- Pixel 2 (2,700 mAh battery) charges much faster than the Pixel 2 XL (3520 mAh battery) easily making it a better choice when wanting to do a quick charge for 15mins when it is low on battery

- Pixel 2 and Pixel XL's battery life are almost the same with one another during my daily use. Both phones are able to squeeze out 8.5 hours of SOT over 1.5 day's usage. In my opinion, the Pixel 2's battery life is truly amazing for its size

- Pixel 2 XL's 6 inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen is a great a screen despite its overblown media/PR P-OLED flaws. However, not all native Android apps support this aspect ratio resulting in black letter boxes appearing at the sides. The Pixel 2's standard 16:9 aspect ratio guarantees full screen coverage/immersiveness

In summary, the Pixel 2 (5 inch) is a highly underrated device and its price-performance ratio heavily rivals the Pixel 2 XL.

At the end of my testing, i've decided that i will keep the Pixel 2 XL as i love large screens at the expense of slightly decreased battery life.

If anyone is interested in my 1 month old Pixel 2 64GB Black for sale (flawless), PM me! biggrin.gif

I feel the front facing speakers is overrated. Quite flat

I have exact sentiments man. It's not loud either... Maybe Google didn't use good speakers....

really? that is a major let down if so... but lots of reviewer says the front facing speaker is good though.

Relatively speaking la... like the pixel 2 is louder than pixel 2 xl too. They are loud enough for normal use,
but i reckon there are other single speaker phones that are even louder in a controlled manner, like the fruit phone or samsung haha...

That's what i was afraid of actually, haiz. Kind of angry that they selling inferior technology at premium price (remember when people used to say that about Apple?).

Pixel3,  hope it's improved

It's by no means an interior tech.. in fact it's amazing what they achieved with just software.. dual lens method also had it s own short comings...

Pixel 3XL pre production unit leaked.

Looks like bundled USB C earphones will be default in the packaging similar to the HTC 11.

I reckon the tall and narrow notch is definitely going to irk some folks out there to hold out for the smaller Pixel 3 instead.

Specifications are underwhelming thought. Google still insists that 4GB RAM is the sweet spot - this only rings true if stock Android is truly optimized along with developers in tow to prevent nasty app refreshes.

From leaked photos the notch does look horrendous ๐Ÿ˜ so tall. Can't they think of a better design?
