Received new update, just did manual check on updated

No update yet on mine. I did a manual check. It will probably come in a few days time?

i got it free when bought the phone. maybe could google in lazada, 11steeet n etc. i think some acessories shop supposed to have that

received the update. it just security update n bundle with amazon bloatwares. there r 2, amazon prime and mobile device info.

Are those part of the Huawei mobile service or hi care? I've disabled or am not using either services. I don't know how to get to that screen shot u attached.

This Mate 10 (and Mate 10 pro) use emmc or ufs 2.1?

I was at a Huawei shop earlier and had the chance to look at both the mate 10 and mate 10 Pro side by side. Some observations from me:

1. Slimmer M10p feels nicer in the hand. But I read a lot on my phone (pdfs etc) so that it's actually not an advantage in that regard.

2. While the M10p does have a more saturated screen, the difference is not as much as I was led to believe. What I was more concerned with is that the M10p icons and icon text seemed a little blur. I tweaked the settings to approximate the m10 but my m10 for example, was noticeably sharper. To put things into context, I can notice the difference in Resolution when I put my m10 on smart display (where it autoscales the rez), and I have to leave it permanently on the max 2k rez. I actually really like the p10 pro screen more than either mate10s.

3. I did not notice any real difference when comparing both phone's actual operations (6gb VS 4gb even when I left default screens at max rez = m10 gpu has to work harder).

4. The cams on m10 and m10p seem identical in use and results.

5. The m10p blue is freakishly sexy.

hiview is huawei own gps services, lbs is data service, huawei using baidu services, such as oases kernel live patching.

I've used it on my Mate 8. Now using it on the 10. It's obviously not as slippery as the naked glass but not that sticky either. It's somewhere in between.

UFS 2.1 is standard for all models.



AND I FINALLY GOT THE PHONE! Geez, took them 3 weeks to deliver.


First impressions:
1. It's much shorter and slightly narrower than the Mate 8. They managed to do this by getting rid of that ugly black bezel all around. Much more manageable in the hand!
2. Crazy fast charge! It was at 34% out of the box. In just over an hour it was full!
3. It came with 115 firmware so i guess this is a newer stock?
4. Glass back urgh. Slippery and fragile. Lucky my Spigen casing is already here.
5. Black is sexy. But can't tell which way is up or down in the dark.
6. They could've made the factory screen protector all the way to the sides. It falls a bit short.
7. Camera is milesssssss better than the Mate 8.
8. Still getting used to the front fingerprint sensor which is insanely fast.
9. I noticed that the sim tray does have some sort of rubber near the tray door. The Mate 8 doesn't have that.
10. Setup is easy as i just restored old phone stuffs from memory card.

So far so good!

Agree with point 5. But now slowly get use to it by recognising the side buttons.

Same using spigen rugged with black mate. Since u have used spigen rugged armor for ur mate 8 for months or years, may I know how does it stand against daily usage? Is it worn-out or scratched heavily? Colour faded?

Hi all, i just want to share some info on oreo. its been a long time, android using java language as main language beside native c++ languange. the main reason to choose java is due to its principle, write once, run everywhere.

the problem of java language is its garbage collection event(ram reclaiming) sometimes too high, n apps actually runs on vm(virtual machine). since lollipop, android replace dalvik runtime to art, to make things faster, jit compilation to aot compilation n etc.

now, in oreo, google introduce kotlin language(u can watch google io in kotlin),in order to fight with swift n objective c in ios.

it still new,but kotlin, java n native c will runs in parallel in android.

new pixel launcher(for google devices like nexus n pixel) runs in oreo using new kotlin language. u can download it if u want, it really fast,but lack of customisation.

however,u can try out nova launcher. it use kotlin language

by the way, emui home launcher, using java, n api 23 (marshmallow), nova using api 26 (oreo).

tried mate 10 & mate 10 pro in one utama
i feel mate 10 screen is better than mate 10 pro.....

until today im still unsure whn can i get my mate10 pro..

3ex told me it will be on Dec... huawei told me will be this week..

anyone preordered on 3ex on 18th nov?

I'm guessing they're going to shipped it out on the 24th so depending on your place, it might be next week or the week after. And if it's the week after, then it's Dec. Lol
