QUOTE(Spawny @ Nov 21 2017, 11:25 AM) I saw the Mate 10 Pro displaying at One Utama, the OLED screen is not as saturated as Note 8, but the design and feel is good. If I can get the Note 8 for an extra 200 bucks over the Mate Pro I'm not sure which is better still... iinm, mate 10 pro also has vivd color mode. maybe u shud check it whether it makes the screen more saturated |

If its just RM200 difference, the Note 8 seems better value considering it has the S-Pen as long as you don't mind the curved screen.
I haven't seen the Mate 10 Pro screen, but by the sounds of things, both screens are really good and you can't really go wrong on either. They'd be the top 3 screens in the market I think, iPhone X, Samsung S and Note series and the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. EDIT: You get a 3.5mm headphone jack, micro SD card slot and the S-Pen and 1440p res with the Note 8 if you care about those things. This post has been edited by arbok: Nov 21 2017, 12:00 PM |

I get the feeling the vivid mode will just tend to make the colors stronger like it is on TVs. Both the Note 8 and Mate 10 Pro seem to have really decent panels, but the only way to see which one you like is put them side by side. |

Soyacincau just wrote about the Mate 10/10 Pro price difference on the Celcom Easyphone plans, which was what I said a page ago. Seriously though, who is doing the plans at Celcom - their maths are terrible. Another example - Mate 10 RM148 month plan Device RM898 = Total 4450 RM188 month plan Device Free = Total 4512 |

Oh interesting, i was looking for something like this, thanks.u can check out technical details here. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Huawei-Mate-1...w.261376.0.html The Vivid color mode looks like it uses a way bigger color spectrum particularly in the greens. However color accuracy seems better with the Standard mode. Hmm... For those wondering - Here's the Standard mode (white balance: Standard)- Here's the Vivid mode (white balance: Standard) - This post has been edited by arbok: Nov 21 2017, 12:59 PM |

I hope we don’t get screwed over with the device price for the pro I’ll be ok with RM2000ish on the RM98 plan, but any more and I might consider my options again. Like if it’s RM2500 on the RM98 plan I’m going to say no thanks. The Note 8 has a RM900 discount on the RM98 plan from the RRP so I hope Mate 10 Pro also gets a similar discount. Maybe I’ll just get it outright. |

Should be lower than that i hope..cause the Note 8 RRP is much higher than the Pro...The Note 8 has a RM900 discount on the RM98 plan from the RRP so I hope Mate 10 Pro also gets a similar discount. Maybe I’ll just get it outright. im hoping it will be less than 2k for the 98 plan.... i almost got the Mate 10 earlier but i might if the pro's price is significantly increased.... |

Let's just wait and see what celcom got to offer for the device bundle pro. If it totally doesn't make sense might as well just take the rm 188 free mate 10, sell it, add few hundred and buy the pro from the stores.

If u look at the price difference for mate 9 n mate 10 under gold plus plan is rm220.The Note 8 has a RM900 discount on the RM98 plan from the RRP so I hope Mate 10 Pro also gets a similar discount. Maybe I’ll just get it outright. So i think if using that same price difference for mate 10 pro n mate 9 pro the price for mate 10 pro will be rm2278 under gold plus plan |

I like the 18:9 screen and the 6gb ram too much to go the Mate 10. Now everyone has the 18:9 and even the mid tier phones are following, I’m guessing that will be the new trend.im hoping it will be less than 2k for the 98 plan.... i almost got the Mate 10 earlier but i might if the pro's price is significantly increased....
