Put the gear stick to manual mode, push it towards the + sign, repeat until u see the maximum number in your dashboard. you can do it when not in motion but the engine has to be running.
First, by standard specs, 2AZ-FE engines and 2AR-FE engines run on SAE 0-30, which is fully synthetic, interval oil change is 10,000 km. You will get better mileage by using 0-30 fully synthetic engine oil.
My iswara has been using fully synthetic 10-40 engine oil for 20 years. Seriously, I have never seen any, not a single bit of oil sludge. My mechanic even teased me that such old car still want to use so expensive engine oil, advised me to use semi synthetic instead but I refused. Reason? Because fully synthetic oil change is 10,000 km, semi is 7000 km, and I don't really like to spend time at the workshop doing nothing because it is damn boring. Not like you can spend a few hours on your handphone playing games and end up being blind...hahahha.
If one doesn't do regular service of engine oil change, oil sludge will form inside the engine no matter if you use mineral based, semi synthetic or fully synthetic. Engine oil will breakdown and becomes gel if the oil is not change according to specification.
You know, very likely the owner of the Vellfire has not been following the service schedule to change the engine oil, which turned into sludge. I have never heard of engine oil turned into sludge, no matter whatever the grade it is. It is just that the owner didn't follow the schedule replacement of Engine oil.
Basic rule of thumb:
1. Mineral based change interval is 3000 km
2. Semi synthetic change interval is 7000 km
3. Fully synthetic change interval is 10000 km.
That's it. No need rocket science. No formula, no need calculator. Just look at the odometer and get the engine oil changed. Done.
Even Perodua Axia runs on fully synthetic 0-30W. If somebody would use mineral based oil in Axia engine, very unlikely the car can travel 22km per litre of gas. It will mostly drop to may be 16km per litre or below. I don't know, I don't have the formula to calculate the engine friction vs engine oil grade, don't flame if I am wrong.
My parents' toyota altis 2004 1.8G still runs on 0-30W Toyota fully synthetic engine oil. Just replaced the valve cover gasket. No sludge, not even a bit. The moving gears are like new, very shinny. Parents always replace the engine oil before 10 000km.Engine is as good as new car, quiet and smooth. Engine has clocked 140 000 km.
Change the engine oil to fully 0-30W fully synthetic and u will notice your car engine runs quieter, smoother and possibly u get better mileage per litre of fuel. You need to know your car in and out and very sensitive type in order to notice these changes.

Samohung,
Since your car has clocked 100 000km, it is wise to replace the valve cover gasket. The rubber seals should be as crispy as KFC.
Don't wait till it leaks engine oil, which makes the exterior of the engine looks dirty with oil leak marks and also it will destroy the expensive iridium spark plugs as the engine oil will seep through the spark plugs seal.
Original Toyota gasket glue is white color. If you notice the glue is white color, it means the previous owner has not replaced the valve gasket seal. If it is grey color, it means the valve gasket seal has been replaced or something has been repaired on the top part of the engine.

Thanks again for your valuable advice. Check my valve cover gasket and change to 0-30W full synthetic engine oil (every 10,000km). Got it.
You suggested in previous a previous post to change the steering bush. Just want to confirm if this is the part you meant?
