Hi Guys,

I've been in Malaysia for two months so forgive me for what might seem a silly question.

I have a Maxis prepaid sim card and I'm having to top it up every few days as it keeps geeting deactivated.

When I bought the sim I did use my passport so its defenitley registered to me.

Even though I have a balance on it, it gets disconnected? Then I have to top up again. My credit keeps building up as I have no one to call and this seems like a pointless exercise. In the UK, your prepaid sim is valid for life even with no balance on it. Is it different here? confused.gif

Thanks in advance. smile.gif

As far as I'm aware, it was a normal sim as I bought it in the local shop and not at the airport.

How much did you top up your number?
If I am not mistaken, top up RM5, only valid for 5 days.
Top up RM10, valid for 10 days.
Top up RM30, valid for 30 days.
