Hi Guys, I've been in Malaysia for two months so forgive me for what might seem a silly question. I have a Maxis prepaid sim card and I'm having to top it up every few days as it keeps geeting deactivated. When I bought the sim I did use my passport so its defenitley registered to me. Even though I have a balance on it, it gets disconnected? Then I have to top up again. My credit keeps building up as I have no one to call and this seems like a pointless exercise. In the UK, your prepaid sim is valid for life even with no balance on it. Is it different here? Thanks in advance.

QUOTE(developer @ Oct 16 2017, 11:23 AM) did you purchase tourist sim or normal sim? As far as I'm aware, it was a normal sim as I bought it in the local shop and not at the airport.

If I am not mistaken, top up RM5, only valid for 5 days. Top up RM10, valid for 10 days. Top up RM30, valid for 30 days.
