QUOTE(island @ Oct 7 2018, 06:09 AM) Not sure about it. I only using dlink and linksys router. Others brand look odds, only basis configuration's available for users. Mostly you mean those routers come with the TM logo? That's crap for any routers with ISP logo on it, customized. Talking about crap, try aztech, tplink, you going to crying like a baby Yes bro. Those customized firmware are crap. But i still prefer other brand UI than DLink |

QUOTE(yakumo @ Oct 10 2018, 09:34 AM) well, I managed to disabled the IPv6, and disabled the DNS relay, and have set the manual DNS in the setting, seems working nowbut I still get the TM DNS as 3rd & 4th DNS probably it's from the modem or setting within TM's VLAN |

QUOTE(GadgetzKL @ Oct 15 2018, 02:48 PM) Yes, it can. Click the link on my signature to see reasons why you might be getting only 90+ Mbps. It could be that your BTU is capped at 100Mbps. Test with wired LAN from router to PC directly. |

Bad streaming performance over LAN with D-Link 850L supplied by Time.
I was using a Xiaomi Mi Router 3 when I was on Time 100Mbps plan, but decided to give the 850 a try after being upgraded to 500Mbps. I stream through a Cat 6 LAN cable direct to my Android TV box which runs various APKs like Swift Streamz, Mobdro etc. With the Mi 3 streaming was pretty smooth, but with the 850 it's terrible - lots of buffering on all apps. It's weird because when I test the speed with the Ookla Android app (not in a browser) I get over 500Mbps down and about 350MBps up, which is waaayyyy more than I would need to stream. These streams are just SD or 720P at the most, and the Mi 3 (limited to 100Mbps WAN-LAN) copes with them just fine. What could be the problem? I'm not downloading anything else when I stream. Both radios are on but not in use. I have the latest FW 2.21. QoS is off. Puzzling! |

Have some question to ask for D-Link technical support, I got a D-Link DGS1016D and been used for more than 2 years already. Currently my unifi was turboed to 500mbps. Previously is using Asus RT-AC55UHP then now was upgraded to Asus RT-AC86U. I'm not so sure this problem is happened before upgrade or after upgrade.
When I plug to a megabit router, usually the gigabit switch is showing in yellow light. The problem is, when I connect to my gigabit switch will cause my megabit router download speed was limited at 10mbps download speed but full speed 100mbps for upload. However, there is no problem when I plug with a gigabit router to do as access point. The download speed and upload speed all in normal. Nearly full speed for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. 2.4GHz around 80~90mbps download speed and 5Ghz around 400mbps download speed. May I know what is the problem for my gigabit switch? For the 10/100 LAN issue. I was noticed that, when every megabit devices got this abnormal issue as long as that devices are connected to my gigabit switch as yellow light. Hallo @d-link.
Git question. Recently bought a DSL-G2452DG to use with Unifi. After setup internet all works fine except for one problem. For some reason, the iptv connection will stop working after several hours of no use. Have to reboot the router then only will work again. Is there a setting somewhere I can change to fix this? |
