We got a call from one of our customers last Thursday saying there were 5 adorable puppies that had been abandoned at the Chinese store across the road so off we went to see what we could do for them.

When we got there with 2 crates in tow we saw 2 golden pups and 1 black pup hiding from the sun in what little shade they could find, when we called out to them they trotted up happily wagging their tails so after talking to the restaurant owner who had been feeding them the last couple of days but didn't know what to do with them next we popped them in the crates (2 in the bigger crate and one in the smaller one) and started to head off, but then the restaurant owner told us there were 2 more, they were hiding under one of the food prep tables. So after loading the crates into the car we picked up the last 2 (both black) and headed back.

The first order of business was to get these girls some water (there were very thirsty) and then food and a bath as they were covered in mud. They were all a little unsure to begin with and then slowly one by one their personalities began to come out. The biggest golden girl was the most dominant, the other gold girl was quite shy but playful, the smallest black girl was very shy and doesn't really play rough with the others and the 2 other black girls were quite mischievous. After a bit of playing they settled down for a nap while we contacted everyone we knew who was looking for a dog to let them know about these 5 gorgeous girls.

The next day was deworming, frontlining and a bit of early manners training (they loved to bite hands, legs, clothes, hair, pretty much anything they could get hold of) and introduction to chew toys. We also called our mobile vet to set an appointment for their first puppy vaccinations.

Over the next few days people came in to see the pups and everyone agreed that they were beautiful, some people decided they could give them a great home and picked their new puppy, however they stayed with us to get their first vaccination and for observation to make sure they hadn't picked up any nasty diseases. We continued to pick off ticks and watch their poop for worms (some pretty big ones came out :S ) and soon they were tick free and seemed to not have any more worms. They eat a lot and play a lot, 5 puppies are a real handful.

Now they are all happy and healthy, they are starting to learn that toys are for chewing and hands are for kissing, have loads of energy and love to play, have had their first puppy vaccinations and are ready to start a new life with a new forever home.

On Sunday 2 of the puppies will be going to their new homes, 2 more are staying behind to keep our last little girl company while she waits for a kind person to adopt her. Sadly as she is the quietest girl and tends to stay back while the others push forward to greet people she is often overlooked when people come to visit, however we are still hopeful that she will get a home equally wonderful as her sisters very soon.

THESE THREE GIRLS STILL NEED GREAT HOMES!
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Age: 4-5 months
Sex: Female
Colour: 2 Black, 1 Golden
Adult size: (estimated) Medium

De-wormed, All puppy vaccinations done.

Reason for adoption: They were abandoned so we took them in. Now we need to find homes for them so they can grow up in a house to become happy and healthy adults.

Adoption fee: RM100 to cover some of our costs.
Contact: PM or drop by to visit them 25G Jalan Putra Mahkota 7/7B, Putra Heights.

Please consider giving one of these girls the great home that she deserves. They are all very loving and playful. Although when they came to us they had very bad manners and no concept of what acceptable play is, they have now learned how to behave around people and other dogs and given time and love will grow into beautiful and lovable adults.
UPDATE (05.09.2010): Still one black girl up for adoption. She is really friendly and loves to play sad.gif

Lucy was almost run over 2 weeks ago while trying to find shelter from heavy rain under a car leaving a parking space. Fortunately she was noticed and brought in to see us. So thin you could see all her ribs, soaked to the bone and shivering with cold the little fighter we now know as Lucy still managed to wag her tail whenever she felt someone stroking her.
Boosted up with Nutri-stat and lot of food and water, as well as a warm towel wrap to warm her up a bit, Lucy's true character started to come out; a friendly, playful but gloriously submissive dog emerged from the fragile little body.

Sadly 3 days later she developed symptoms of Parvo Virus and was rushed to hospital. After confirming the diagnosis, a very weak and almost lifeless Lucy was admitted and put on an IV drip. 2 days later she was still weak with no appetite, bad diarrhea and vomiting. Then day 3, her diarrhea and vomiting stopped, day 4 she started to eat again and so was discharged for the hospital. However still terribly thin and weak, Lucy still had some fighting to do... off to a foster home.

From this point on, Lucy's story just keeps on getting better. She consistently gained weight, energy and strength over the next few days with dedicated care from her foster mom. Her beautiful personality came flowing out again and she once again wagged her tail and played with anyone who had a spare minute for her.

Now Lucy needs a forever home to carry on her already very eventful life. If you are touched by this girl's story and her beautiful 'to-die-for' looks please do contact us to set up an appointment to meet this strong angel who has graced this earth.

The details:
Age: 2-3months
Size: Currently very small, could grow to medium/small-medium sized
Color: Black and Tan
Breed: Mixed
Sex: Female
Special Needs: Lucy needs nothing more than a great owner who loves to play. Despite everything she has been through she is the happiest puppy you could ever meet and has a special place in the hearts of everyone who meets her.

Lucy and Trouble are looking for new homes.
user posted imageuser posted image

Species: DOG
Breed: Mixed
Age: around 6-8months
Sex: F
Location: Putra Heights

They were both found on the street by us. Trouble was with her 4 litter mates who have all be adopted out. Lucy was all on her own.

Both have had full sets of puppy vaccinations and both are healthy and regularly de-wormed.

Both toilet trained to pee/poo on newspaper.

Both are very sweet and playful. They would do best with at least 1 walk a day and space to move around a bit when at home.
Both happy to play on their own with toys, with other dogs, or with people.
They both LOVE rawhide chews.

Suitable for someone who wants a playmate (or 2).
Friendly to other dogs/people and children, little maintainance as short/medium coat, their ears stay clean. They do occasionally need their nails cutting although walking on tarmac surface once a day might allow them to grind their nails down enough themselves.

They would both do best in a home that can afford to give them at least an hour or 2 of attention each day.

(Their names are for identification and convenience, feel free to change them if you wish. They both respond when called but can easily adapt to a new callsign. Trouble is simply a pet name as she was hiding right in the middle under a car when we found her and so was the hardest of her litter to get to, she is in fact no trouble at all).

If you want a more detailed description of either of them (temperament etc) or are interested in visiting them, please don't hesitate to PM me for details.

Reason for adoption/ Message for interested parties: A customer dropped him off at my shop this morning after seeing him hit by a bike. He is active and healthy and so far i see no signs of trauma or injury. Eating and drinking well. He is playful and curious but a little timid currently. As he has come from the street he is currently quarantined so i don't know how he behaves with other cats however he is young enough that i would assume he would be fine with correct introduction.

If you are interested in him please contact me to come and visit. No adoption fee, just take good care of him please.

3. Lucy and Jessica are both female and around 2 years old. They are both spayed, vaccinated and dewormed. Both were rescued separately but have grown up together and it would be great if they could be adopted together. Lucy is outgoing and definitely the leader of the 2. Jessica is more reserved but also calmer. They are both wary of strangers but not aggressive.

4. 4 month old female. Dumped outside our shop with bad skin problems caused by neglect. We have fixed up her skin and she is now very healthy. Fully vaccinated and dewormed. Very friendly and polite. Able to walk on lead. Friendly to other dogs and humans.
