The yellowish on some photos are too high, overexposed maybe. some of the composition is good, but still can improve...

the KLCC exposures are great, only the composition can do better..

Girl shooting fashion shows DO make a difference! It's very unique, putting aside the weakness of a compact digicam dun you guys think so? I particularly love those 3 pics : The one she shot from the top where you can see 2 models going down the runway, sense of motion is there. The one on the male model, you can see a drooler on the background, haha! Lastly you have a sharp shot of the audience looking intently while a model goes down the runway in a motion-packed image.

The shots of KLCC taken by a compact digicam is some of the BEST I've seen so far, again, putting aside the weakness of a compact digicam, still can work on the composition but the exposure and the effort is there.

GUYS GUYS GUYS ... the girls are catching up!! Wake up wake up!! doh.gif

Anyway, the KLCC & fashion show shots were snapped using Fuji S7000 and

the Taiping shots were snapped using Olympus C2-Zoom.

u can always do that whenever u have time and a bit of imagination.. think ahead of what u want to shoot, and what kind of images u want to produce, and shoot times and times again.. with a bit of luck, u might get what u want.. biggrin.gif

Hi there, I am back again with another collection of pictures from Mid Valley fashion show taken in early May-07. Sorry to keep you waiting as I was busy with my schedules and had no time to upload these pictures. Feel free to give feedback on my work. As mentioned before I'm still a newbie to photography, therefore needs pointers.

So far this was my 2nd fashion show outing. I'm still exploring my prosumer camera Fuji S7000. As advised by many pros, I'm trying to capture my pictures as close as what I see in real life, especially the models skin colour tone. Btw, I'm still trying to get bokeh shots.

As you can see, the emphasis of my work were to capture moments of the event and varieties of models poses, creatively and in different angles of the setting. The objective is to create a fashion show mood to viewers.

So tell me how you feel after viewing my pictures, whether you felt the mood or not?

Yes.. ur objective matches the pictures.. u want to show the mood, or to say the view from ppl walking around and the atmosphere of a fashion show, and i can see that.. u showed the connection between the models and the spectators as it explains the intensity of the event.. good job..

I realized fashion/model shots walking around is difficult as i found some difficulty during ysday Metroplitian college cover girl search. For somehow who using a prosumer to capture such pics is simply skillful. Good work! notworthy.gif

nice compositions. smile.gif now all you need to do is play around with the settings more because it'll be a waste if good compositions are spoiled by not-so-good colors.

some are a bit dim, others may be a bit yellowish. some are blurry (off focus), some lack subject.

generally, your creativity / ideas in your composition make the fashion show look more interesting.

I completely agree, i could never capture something like that with my prosumer, i love the fashion shots , you have very different perspective so your fashion shots are different than others, and also, it's nice to see a woman representative around !!

Cityfish and Goldfries, I would appreciate if you can pin-point to me on which shots are you referring to. It will be helpful for me to improve in my shots. Btw, the ISO setting was at 400.

Let me know, thanks. biggrin.gif

hafta agree with the rest here. composition is great but wb and sharpness is lacking, mostly because of the limitations of a prosumer.

honestly, i was kinda bored seeing shots in LYN regarding fashion shows. IMO, all the same.

however, u bring out the different elements in a fashion show. part of a model's leg, a swinging accesory (handbag/ hand carried shoes) adn all that.

nice. thumbs up to u!
