Hye guys, im really blur right now...i added 1Gb yesterday n now running 2Gb..before this my ram running 2.5-3-3-6 1T@166Mhz...when i added a new 1...i've check on Cpu-Z...look like this...

Slot #1

Frequency :166Mhz
CAS : 2.5
RAS : 3
RAS precharge : 3
Tras : 7

Slot #2

Frequency :200Mhz
CAS : 3.0
RAS : 3
RAS precharge : 3
Tras : 8

Why slot 1 and 2 different?

is iit your ram is pair or not? cos it seem to me that your RAM is not a pair lol..which means the existing ram has different timing with the old RAM. sweat.gif

lol...cos sure it has different timing and latency lol bro..cos the first slot if not mistaken is pc 2100 which is the first batch before pc3200 was released. I'm afraid that you may need to get the other ram which has same timing and latency. If you just wan the 2Gb of ram only the don't bother with the timing and latency unless ocing then it cannot cos it must used the same timing and latency.. unsure.gif

Hm...not like that..both of my ram running 3-3-3-8@200Mhz pc 3200(stock)...
Before i bought a new 1 yesterday...im running on single channel...i overclocked it to 2.5-3-3-6@166Mhz so my ram can keep up with my processor...but when running on dual channel...sigh...1 slot is different rclxub.gif ..

lol..then i understand already..then you may need to adjust back the ram timing make it to auto then check again the timing and latency which means disable the overclocking then check using the CPUID on the timing.

It's just CPU-Z showing different default SPD timing.

Can you post CPU-Z screenies for each stick, one stick at a time? Then show the RAM speed and also the SPD screens.

whoa...now i'm scared also... just a side topic

i'm using corsair 667Mhz ram (2x512MB)... and i just bought 800Mhz ram(also 2x512MB) but not yet receive the ram...

now i overclock to 395Mhz FSB...timing is 5-5-5-15 ...
so when i plug in my new additional ram...the speed and timing should remain the same right?

Here is Cpu-Z..
Is't normal the ram spped looks like that? or i need to set auto in the bios, check cpuz again..if the ram speed equal..then i adjust it back to 2.5-3-3-6@166Mhz
...like that?

your ram is pretty much normal.... except that the first one 'might' have problem booting on a DDR333 only system.

try on the stock speed see any changes or not. Cos i'm sure you might've set it wrongly some where. Actually it can overclock actually at the stock speed but just need to raise the volt and other setting like CPU clock.
