I bought Mate 8 some years ago and I thought that future Android updates will be incorporated in the design. Still on Android 7. Emailed to Huawei Msia on the update as well as the EMUI 5.0.1 update. Reply was blur blur blur, not addressing my questions. Think there is no plan to update older HW phones.

I really hope that they will update Mate 8 to at least Android 8, best to Android 9 (AI!). If that is their business strategy not to update older phones 2 years after market release, don't think I will get another HW phone.

normally company release so many model and sub model for different price segment dont care with update. all they want is sales.
