Totally agree with verx here. Personally I understand that someone supports loads of teams. Maybe each team in major leagues so that it becomes more interesting for them to follow the league. I believe it starts due to strong language by both Jonno & air_mood.
Both school of thoughts cannot/won't understand or accept the points of others.

It's not degrading them but rather the believe in my team. Furthermore it's a quote by Shankly which I agrees & believe in.
Toffees are still a team in Merseyside albeit an ordinary team like Tranmere Rovers.

I would prefer to call it banter. It's ok if there is banter around as most agrees, but in regard of the signature, just wonder why some like to put down others rather than promote their own team? Is it because it's their nature?
I mean you don't see us create signature about Man U rite, rather we put in quote from players/managers alike about our own team not rival teams.

The phrase is more towards my hope & believe that the ressie will be better than Toffees. Even if the ressie is not great, neither is toffees.

I you read carefully I already stated to Starghazzer that it is my hope & believe or rather you would call it wishful thinking.
On the Tranmere thing, its because they are the only team in Merseyside other than Reds & Toffees hence just a figure of speech neither did I compare them. Well I didn't say that they are not good, that is your words. I said rather it just another club (in another word 'ordinary' as is Tranmere) to me.
I would like to intepret my siggy as I explained but you chose to interpret it as offensive.
For you info, even if Toffees wins 10 ECL, I would consider it just an ordinary club.
