After reading thru the posts... I find myself relating to people like you. I myself find it baffling as to how can one claim allegiance to 2 rival clubs in the same country, same league... and same division. Ok... if 2 clubs from 2 different countries, that argument could make a good case.
I have been supporting my club since I was 8. And that was the era before their triumphs in the 80s. Why? Cos looking back then, Pool was winning practically every year... so I chose blue instead. Then later on in life I stared to learn more... ie. history... and I can say, there's a lot of it... and I find myself drawn more and more to this club. So, I have really been thru the ups and the almost downs (you know what I mean). I have had friends keep on asking me to change my allegiance to them more successful clubs... hah! I rather give em the finger. I will love my club till I am stone cold and stiff.
So I guess you guys can tell I am rather ancient. Anyway, I hate Pool but I do respect the fans. Same gos for any other fans... as long as they are real fans.
Just my 0.02....

QUOTE(shah_ho_nam @ Jan 25 2008, 08:06 AM) 2)B - Why u think Kedah cannot meet Milan or Chelsea kah?? thats a narrow thinking way of an Adult.. Of course they can meet on the ground but the chances are very slim.. but rather than that, it's also one possibility.. Remember when Arsenal came here and took down Malaysian international? Or Chelsea came here also?? think about that also la adult..there's always friendly games in football. Football is global. u can see it everywhere. Just don't take it too deep. You'll ended up like maggots later.. the way you talk is somehow funny to me.. i also have many Man U fans but none of them acts like u.. he asked u, can u name me one Man U famous hooligan? I can understand that there might be possibilities that a EPL club could play any our local teams. But, I believe Abangpedro means that they don't play each other week in week out in the league... which is the bread and butter of any club... which is the point of the whole arguement ie "Supporting 2 clubs in the same league and division"...

QUOTE(JonC @ Jan 30 2008, 04:51 PM) What big reactions to your siggy leh vreis. There's a big rivalry betwen the merseyside teams that is EVEN bigger than the one against Man Utd. Mate just put quote form Bill Shankly to avoid disrespecting the blue !#$# lor. Well... considering LFC wouldn't have existed if not for EFC... but yes... the rivalry is huge... But to be compared to Tranmere Rovers?

QUOTE(surferx @ Feb 2 2008, 12:59 AM) Then you must be blatantly ignorant. To be a hardcore fan of one club is one thing, but to despise another even when the club has proved it time and time again (not referring to any club) is another altogether. The blue of Merseyside might be appearing in the champions league next season at the expense of some "great team". Everyone would write Liverpool off as a "not-so-great" team as of now but they were still great team once upon a time. Give credit where it deserves and this time, its not on the red of the Merseyside and certainly they are not so great now. Oh, they are not far off from Tranmere, only one place off but of course in a different league. True, with players of a different league as well. I wonder how will he react if I put "Liverpool are another Leeds United" in my sig....
