Hi guys, i have just rented a shop unit 3 months ago and now the owner decided to sell his unit. I have a 3 year tenancy agreement with the owner. If the owner sold his unit, can i still follow the previous agreement with the old owner? and what if the new owner decided not to rent it to me? kinda serious problem here as i have just renovated the unit months ago.

Getting Started

|
Usually units that is sold with existing tenancy must be carried over to the new owner.
If the new owner does not agree to it, he will have to wait till the end of your tenancy to evict you. In other words, when the unit is transferred to him, you are going to pay your rental to him as the landlord till the end of tenancy.
Check your tenancy agreement terms.
