Judging by how his speed was up to Q2 plus his record historically at Spa, Kimi actually had a chance of not just podium but actually winning as well, just for Ferrari to screw up his qualifying and the bad luck of getting hit.

If Ferrari or Seb do not screw up again, and that is still a big possibility especially knowing how Ferrari often did that. They really have no more margin of error now in order to win the title and that's their main challenge now, try got things done cleanly from now on.

I actually think that merc and ferrari are quite equals in term of performance. Just the straight line ferrari tends to do well also due to less wings in their setup.

On the first stint lewis able to cut down the leads shows merc engine still performs well.

Now it's all down to team strategy and driver with less error would crowns the championship title.

Not really, Vetted didn't really push as the margin is still healthy. After back from pit stop you can see how fast Vettel open the gap meaning his car still have extra when really requiring to push.

It seems Ferrari also wears out their tires well, unlike Mercs suffering from some blisters. So it's not just about engine power but also better chassis now.

Imo, Ferrari are able to use 'party - mode' longer than Mercedes.
