What a battle between Max and Charles. Too bad that Ferrari seems to chew on their tyres too quickly. Also surprised they both bolted on medium with 20 laps to go but Max almost caught Lewis already. Charles already 3sec behind Max. RB really looks after it's tyres really good.

I think Mercedes should have delay their pitstop a few more laps. Then they too can bolt the medium for a challenge. They probably see it was a good chance to undercut since Max is complaining a lot after SC restart. It was surprising that Mercedes were quick after the restart. Too bad the hards are just too slow for the final stint.

Seb also had a bad pitstop. Otherwise he would be further up. His 16.8s pitstop is even worse than Max's 11.6s pitstop.

The thing is the rule allows the driver in front to move 1 time. Lance didnt weave, he just move one time. Secondly this is not even braking zone.

It goes both way really. I believed that Alonso also pull out too damn late. It's the risk he's willing to take for the little bit extra and he paid the price.

What does it have to do with Race Director?

2023 should be exciting. New parts upgrades every race week. It's just cost $7m.

I mean race director dont issue punishment iirc. It's the stewards that judge and hand out punishment.

Surprise the medium didnt fall off. Maybe Mercedes should have undercut and put on soft. Then pit again for soft. Strategy wise is spot on but tyre degradation wasn't what they expected.

Woke up at 430 to watch for 30 minutes because want to watch LoL semis at 5am. It was pretty interesting until then because the 2 Mercedes were close to Max. Then Mercedes delayed the stops too much which let Max increased the gap to 7 seconds. GR decision to delay his stop even further hurt him even more.

That move on Tsunoda though... I dont know. As for the speed, well, being on the soft and low fuel load while everyone else was on 20++ laps medium, I would not say its spectacular.
