Ya LH is a good racer and passer so if he can get within striking distance in a proper track, he can overtake, unlike his team mate who IMHO is a poor racer.

Not entirely his fault though. Team informed him very late on the radio that Alonso was approaching. And some shared video of the car trackers on track. Bottas, a few cars ahead of Vettel, was well behind Russell on track but started accelerating out of turn 9 so late to start his hot lap and affecting the 2 or 3 cars behind him

Well Sainz had the privilege to train exclusively with Ferrari using their past cars which is why he got used to the car very fast. I don't know why mclaren did not do it for DR. He is the only second driver that is still struggling

I don't mind Seb being penalized, he was partially at fault due to his team negligence but my main issue is the narrative that the FIA is delivering.

I followed instructions to not slow down at T9-10 but before T8-9 and was overtaken. The drivers who overtook me ended up slowing down at T9-10, which ultimately results in Alonso missing his final run. So, I got penalized while the drivers ahead of me, who overtook me at the appropriate slow down location ends up scot free?

So, the stewards are basically saying that we will fuck up whoever ends up last and causing the jam and not the person who started the jam in the wrong place. Also, can be noted that most of the drivers waiting for clear air before the final corner waited 2-3s while BOT waited close to 8s. Was he trying to slow Perez down? Which inadvertently resulted in the ALO-VET issue?

Either penalize everyone or don't penalize anyone, simple as that.

Engine only. Their prev car is not too far off also pace wise. Mclaren has so much heritage and history they should give DR a proper training. Now they are paying the price. Even he did not suffer this badly when he went to renault.
