QUOTE(6UE5T @ May 26 2019, 11:04 PM) Of course not, he got hit and Max was not even half way inside. The one who should got penalty was one of the Haas (Grosjean?) when Perez was already fully inside. It was Magnussen. I'm surprised that Magnussen driven so badly today given how he qualified yesterday. |

QUOTE(PowerSlide @ May 26 2019, 11:06 PM) everytime a little straight merc just pull ahead, still honda deficit to merc is large Unfortunately Monaco is getting harder to pass. Previous years, I think Leclerc would still made it into top 5. However not with today's car. I think track design need to change but most importantly the tires shouldn't really produce so much marbles.anyway malu also whining and questioning so much but in the end team is right by staying out there and win it lol typical monaco race keep us to the end and not another merc 1-2 |

QUOTE(HMMaster @ May 26 2019, 11:12 PM) They're times when he overreact but in this instance, I think I would give him the benefit of doubt. It was pretty clear from before the restart, Merc messed up. They somehow ended with medium out of sync with everyone else which is mesmerising. |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ May 26 2019, 11:17 PM) But Mercs did put him at a bit of risk by not giving the optimum tire strategy like the 3 behind him. If he were on the same tires then he would have had an easier race. Botta already losing out with Max unsafe release but they had enough time for a free stop to rectify their mistake. The strategist got it wrong unfortunately... but luckily for them, it was just enough to cover up their mistake. |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ May 26 2019, 11:31 PM) Season is really boring. The only fight is to see who will finish 3rd at the end of the season. I hope it's Max to really put shame on the pathetic red squad! The problem is with Vettel. I'm not sure what has gone through his mind but it's clear that he has not been his usual self this season. It seems like he has gone into the same mode when DR first joined RBR. |

Nothing beats mother nature when it comes to F1 racing. I wonder why are we moving to desert, city to enjoy boring races. Races should be on hills, seasides where mother nature is unpredictable. |

QUOTE(sphiroth @ Jul 29 2019, 12:01 AM) Jeremy Clarkson is correct in suggesting that there should be sprinkler at certain part of the track and turn om/off at random times to makes an exciting race. Haha That would be another category like Death Race liao... First of all, the circuit needs gravel traps like today. A couple of them got beached. Secondly they need unpredictable weather like Brazil, Hockenheim, Malaysia, etc. Lastly they need to get rid of the fame circuit designer. His design may be a real test for car but also become a problem when cars having trouble following each other for a prolonged period of time. I think most of his designs are rubbish for wheel to wheel racing except Malaysia where the 2 long straights really provide a lot of overtaking plus our very own unpredictable weather. |

Mercedes finally did something special. Reminds us of the golden era when Schumi pits 4 times.

QUOTE(sp6068 @ Aug 5 2019, 02:29 PM) I can't wait for the new rules and regulations to come into play. This sport needs a level playing field. Year after year being dominated by only one team gets boring and killing the sports mang Unfortunately, I think new R&R or not, they just have to dumb down the sport in order to make it interesting.First of all, cars are getting overly technical. Ground effect, KERS, diffusers, etc. Secondly, they need to get rid of the electronics that assist drivers. Lastly, they should reintroduce refuelling. Although slow car will still be slow at the end of the gp, but some of these dare devils will mess up some of the front runners day at crucial stage of the GP. |

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 6 2019, 10:36 AM) New Petronas fuel boosted extra 18hp, no wonder Hamilton capable of sprinting to Max's tail so easily... Engine power has always been Mercedes upper hand but it's the tires that dictate how fast you're going.https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/comments/..._from_new_fuel/ |

QUOTE(voscar @ Sep 8 2019, 10:43 PM) Regardless, it's entertaining to watch the Hunter whom hungry for the win and doing fastest laps chasing down. You just don't see this hunger on some race drivers. It's a good race. However this is also why F1 is going downhill. When the tires didn't play the biggest role, it is really hard to follow, let alone overtake. In all honesty, F1 is killing itself despite I'm happy to listen to the Italian national anthem. It's time to reduce down force and instead let them have better tires to race. |

QUOTE(4WD_er @ Sep 12 2019, 04:52 PM) Not easy for Lewis, given the red car straight line speed advantage, even if Lewis manage to overtake he would be easily overtaken back. If Lewis did overtook Charles (during the incident which the Ferrari was given black and white flag), I think he would have won. Mercedes sacrifice top speed for better drive and it could be seen how Lewis was able to stick to the back of that Ferrari. It could be seen clearly the Ferrari was quick in that final corner and straight only.So I reckon Mercedes had really no answer to Ferrari in the Italian GP. |
