While I dont doubt Hamilton is very close to GOAT level, my personal opinion is he doesn't stand a chance in a whole season with Max, hell, Nico proved it was because of the car when he went apeshit and dumped his family etc etc to focus on 1 season to push Hamilton. Max on the other hand has already side swiped every team mate like a bug. I have no wonder at all that the Red Bull team is solely focused on him. As for Schumi (my own idol) I would say Schumi was a great all rounder driver in team building, car tuning, in politics and such. But raw speed, raw aggression down the start line and finesse in rain? Pushing the car beyond limit? I seen some but Max can do it whole season long. His passion is like Senna.
Anyway we all talk here just blow water, unless they are racing indycar or something with fixed formula. (remember Alonso thrashing the whole Indy 500 field with just a few practice laps!)
Hmm I wouldn't go that far yet with Max, especially since Ham is also well known for his raw speed in both dry and wet, plus great consistency too. Yes Nico managed to beat him once with a bit if luck too but he was totally spent! You can even say Ham actually ended Nico's career coz Nico knew he wouldn't be able to do it again ever! Don't forget that Ham gave Alonso a run for his money as a rookie in the same car when Alonso was the defending WDC. Max also had never had really tough teammates, Ric being the highest rated but not yet proven as WDC level yet. Not sure if Max really lives and breathes just F1 like Senna cuz I don't really hear yet any examples from anyone. Senna was well known for spending hours until late to push his engineers and to understand the cars. Anyway we'll wait and see.
Judging by Ferrari's 'managenent' in the previous decade, I doubt he wants to go there
The next thing you'll say Doohan & Marquez are not legends because they never leave Honda Ignore him, every now & then, he'll spew out BS like "Ferrari/Yamaha will dominate", "Hamilton/Marquez cheat" etc. Blind hater
Well well, none of my post mentioned Hamilton cheats. I admired his skill and often said he's the one saved Mercedes's pride on year 2017 and 2018, versus Ferrari the fastest car on year 2018.
I dislikes Mercedes participation on F1 as a team to be honest. For me i feel like they are not fully committed to the sport to the like of Ferrari, they are doing like business investment, after getting glory and pride now thinking to quit the game...
Long time ago participated F1 then quit, recently bought over Brawn GP which inherited from BAR Honda, then now thinking whether to leave F1 on year 2021 2022 etc.

Don't be surprised if he ends up running for FIA president. Election is about 18 months away.
The news says he will still be involved in Mercs as advisory role, maybe like Lauda last time, so he cannot be running for the FIA presidency if still part of a team.
