5 places penalty next gp... Same as Bottas

F1 haven't seen such a big accident for a long time and unfortunately it took out all the fast and exciting drivers.

In the end, it's all about Lewis charging to the front. If we had guys like Charles or Lando surviving the carnage, the race for the lead would be much more interesting.

My guess too... It was strange that I heard they are all pitting... But commentators mentioned no more communication after you start formation lap, hence why Lewis was alone on the grid.

I'm expecting more will join... Those penalized will definitely find more to join the bandwagon.

It is not the first lap... Its the restart. I heard the radio comm while cars are going around.

One hand Lewis deserved the win but Ocon and Seb done everything right during the race. Sucks if they are going to be penalized.

Seeing Alonso like that, I wonder if Lewis still can keep his conditions tiptop at 40. He lookee wasted after today's race. I have never seen him like that.

I'm thinking they should compulsory ultra soft x 2sets with a mandatory stop for sprint race. Baru can spice up...

No need to take it too negatively. Everyone suffered from the same fate, so where is the unfair?

Instead, this is just a small matter which involved some accounting. The teams had budget, just the cost cap would mean less money goes into the car's R&D. I think FIA just had to make an allowance, maybe give each driver a repair cost cap separately. Teams will still repair their own car but do not reduce the driver's repair cost cap but rather claim it from the penalised driver repair cost cap. Drivers who had exceeded their repair cost cap will be penalised accordingly. This should be doable.

Not every accident will result in engine damage. You're just too biased based on what transpired between Max and Lewis.

I don't recall Mercedes looks good on wets or inters. Personally I feel current F1 cars sucks in the wets. Too much aero...

Ride height problem... Next year they run slot at bottom of car to create suction. Maybe can increase ride height a bit to overcome aquaplaning.
